View Full Version : Can we play respectfully?

I know a lot of people want to "hate" their enemies and win at all costs, but some things go too far. Using a multi alt to place a relic the realm doesn't want, for example.
We all play this game together and are here to have fun. I try to play with respect toward all. I think it would be more fun for all if everyone would stop some of the douche bag moves that no realm is innocent of at this point.

A lot of people do respect their opponents, but that doesn't mean they won't want to kick their ass. As stated already, it is war!
As with most communities, though, RO has its trolls to deal with. Without meaning to be offensive, if you can't deal with that, then perhaps the Internet isn't for you ;-)

Killing a player and then dancing on the corpse - best way to respect your fallen enemy.

Syrtis keeps trying to use multi alts to place relics we don't want. Way to go. and you wonder why we call you gay elves? You guys are taking it to new levels lately.

So much hatred, over a couple of pixels.

There is a simply a line players shouldn't cross. In any game you are expected not to exploit. It isn't hate. >.>
I just don't understand how some people think it's ok to play like that.

Friendly fire? :D
"It was a beautiful day in RO. No birds were singing, doors were being smashed, and at the slowly cracking walls of Aggersborg fort an enormous battle was raging. Fierce warriors smashed enemy skulls driven by the support of conjurers behind, occasionaly smashing an ally's one. Overpowered archers kept turning enemy army into pincushions, even their own were struck by an arrow or two. Many guards in inner realm still remember how they used to be adventurers but then the OP archers among them were allowed friendly fire. As the enemy was close to victory, a mighty lock with but a little life force left concentrated the rest of his magical powers to cast one of his mighty area spells. The enemy army was smashed by it, yet most survived due to their brave knights' auras. But not so in the lock's own army as all his fellow knights perished before. Seeing nearly all allies dead, the lock let out a howl of rage. The howl shattered the courage of his enemies, until last allied archer's friendly-fire-powered arrow found its way into his chest. The enemy army celebrated their famous victory and their leader struck the ground with his legendary hammer. This shot heard round the world (and at Aggersborg save, too) was lethal for his comerades who had only little life left. This battle and the final blow of Pyrrhus1234 became known all over Regnum as Pyrrhic victory."

This was more of a random bright moment. :lighten: I never really thought about writing a novel based on RO, rather a more or less normal novel. :) But I'll give it a thought once things calm down a bit irl. :hat:
