Hey, any one know what the current tick rate is on the haven server, or any other server information? Because it is fairly clear that that really stops combat being snappy and also causes the position bug.

that's not really a problem in haven, since we have small fights which never envolve more than 50 players, the resources and all the updated information that the server sends to your client are limited to a specific area, so the tick rate is probably average, depends on what server ngd has for regnum

Yes but the tick rate must cause the player position bug as the game is not updating fast enough and the information client side is rather behind where it should actual be. Another example of this is with locks i can see an enemy cast a spell as there staff lights up and yet it is an instant cast depending on the person. And it is really not surprising with a game like an MMO
with so many people the tick rate must be extremely low to stop problems with the sever.

I am no programer, but the server tick rate cant be cousing that, as by it's very nature has to be the same for everyone playing on the same server.

I think it has more to do with ping.

The clients all send info to the server with somwhat varying speed and the server has to make out a common picture of it. I dont think its possible to get that 100% in sync for everyone.

Based on pondering and no hard facts.

It would effect it if the tick rate is low on the server it is not updating enouth each second so the attacks for example and animations which would include character model would be delayed , but maybe i am just not getting something >.<
