Well, the game's been fun so far, however I hit a bit of a showstopper. When I try to use the teleporter to leave the newbie area (Marelah Isles) I get stuck thigh-deep in the stone after the area is loaded.
Now, first time or two I thought it was just a fluke. Well, now i'm up to about 4 for 4. Whats more, I can't teleport back or logout to unsticky myself. Have to suicide, so I'm basically stuck in the newbie-isles until I find a workaround. I've heard tell of others getting stuck too, but only a little, and they can usually squeeze outta the problem by running around?
Also, it seems that when I teleport to the inner realm, I'm only thigh deep, but when I go back, I'm hip-deep. And it is consistent. So maybe the model is being loaded on the terrain, and then the teleporter is super-imposed over the player-model creating a ..er...sticky situation?
I don't know the cause, but I'm wondering if it may be a loading order issue, like the player-model gets loaded, then the teleporter model, and so I end up stuck due to difference in height from the teleporter surface and the ground? or as suggested sometimes, a bad sync between client and server. Maybe lag during the load process?
I don't think it's a clipping issue since I can walk onto the pad before I teleport, but somehow I end up -in- the pad after getting transfered.
Anyhoo, I hope it's just something simple that i'm not thinking about.
Thanks,
