My laptop has both an Intel and Nvidia card (960M) on board and the launcher doesn't seem to detect my Nvidia card. It only shows the Intel card and there is no option to "Autodetect". Any way to fix this?

Also, I am not sure if this is related, but I cannot change my texture detail and anti-aliasing levels in game. Wanting to max out settings but these sliders are grayed out.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Had the same issues when I played on my laptop.

First, go into Nvidia Control Panel.

Look for desktop. Make sure Add "Run with graphics processor" is checked.

Right Click on Champions of Regnum. Run with graphics processor. Choose High-Performance Nvidia Processor.

Also possible to change Nvidia card to default in Nvidia panel.

Thanks!

I tried that but unfortunately the game still sees only my Intel card. Even set my default card to Nvidia. The texture sliders remain grayed out and some settings (like shadow distance) resets when I exit the game.

Is the problem specific to RO? Can you select the Nvidia graphics card in other games that allow you to choose graphics adapter (e.g. Skyrim, Fallout 3)?

If it's a general gaming issue, you should try looking for solutions outside this forum.

The only solution I can think of is going into BIOS and disabling switchable graphics or the Intel card.

Yes i am able to select my Nvidia card on other games currently installed in this computer. Currently running Starcraft 2, Homeworld 1 and 2 and Star Trek Online.

It could be that you have an older version of Regnum installed maybe? Are you using windows or linux?

Sorry, forgot to specify. I am running Win10 with the latest updates. Also running the latest Nvidia drivers (according to GeForce Experience).

This Regnum install is a fresh one. I just downloaded the installer from the Regnum site a few hours before I opened this thread.

I heard that windows 10 causes some kind of error with regnum. I'm not sure if this is still the case. I think NGD already fixed that issue but not sure.

Not a Windows 10 error. I had the same problems. But it fixed for me. In my case even tho regnum showed that it was using my intel graphics card on the launch screen. I knew that the game was running Nvidia Card because I had more FPS. Also was able to choose shadows.

Anyway I hope you can solve this problem. I don't miss gaming on my laptop at all. So glad I built my PC.

Yeah I think the game is using my Nvidia card too since I am getting decent FPS. The game just doesn't know it's using it. That's why it won't let me touch texture sliders I think.

Unless that's a whole different issue too.

Try if this works.

Click on your NVIDIA Settings then click on "Manage 3D Settings" then "Press Add" and then add ROlauncher. Then try clicking on 64-bit inside the Launcher options. Screens of what i'm talking about: http://imgur.com/a/dY0yw

On the same section press on "Global Settings" and click on NVIDIA processor for your "Preferred graphics processor". Then click "Apply".

Can you provide a screen of what parts of the video settings you can't use?

If you can't for some reason i'v provided mine. Tell me what it is that you can't use because i also can't move the Texture part of my video settings. http://imgur.com/AoQRIiM

Yes it's the Texture Quality and Antialiasing sliders. Also, Shadow Distance resets to the same setting as yours when I log out.
