This last weekend, the portuguese couldnt play because of a prob of the server. I think the admins should send a mensage to our mail saying why we cant play regnum and no by the friends we have that told me(in this case) what was the prob. We, portugueses didnt receive any apologise por what was hapenning. And after people ask, why there isnt portuguese players well qualificated. ill explain, in this weekend i would get on 43, but i couldnt do that because we couldnt play.FOR A GAME THAT IS NOT IN BETA, WE SHOULD EARN SOMETHING. I GET DOWN 2 POSITIONS ON THE RANKING CAUSE OF THAT, IN EXP, AND 1 IN MONEY!!!:rale: :ohill: I THINK SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE CAUSE WHE ARENT IN A 3ºCATEGORY GAME! hope the admins get the mensage.( this is the first time it hapens since i play. we could had 1k of ping but we could play when it was in beta...)

I find it funny that you would say this to me because obviously YOU don't know what you are saying. I have some experience with server/network administration having worked at a NOC in a datacenter and the Regnum servers are hosted in a... datacenter! NDG loans the connectivity and is in no way responsible nor has administrative rights for the peering. They are clients of their server provider just like you are client of your ISP. If something stops working, they can tell their provider (which is called City Network Hosting AB, www.citynetwork.se for details) but they can't do shit by themselves to solve that problem. It's highly unlikely that they would configure the server to refuse Portuguese players, and it's very likely that there was a peering problem with some Portuguese ISPs which is totally out of their control. So I was just saying, they don't owe you anything, that's what the Internet is, a "best effort" network. Sometimes a part of it goes down. Anyway please not I didn't totally rule out their banning of Portuguese players, maybe I'm wrong, but that would be strange mistake (or maybe a ban too large because of bad haxx0rz). Whatever the reason is, you just can't suppose that they banned you guys on purpose :). Oh and since the website and the game server are most likely hosted on two different machines at the same place, they would have had to make the mistake on both machines ;)... Even more unlikely.

The only exception is intended and part of an already very well announced partnership: German/Swiss/Austrian users are registered through Gamigo.

As magnet adequately put, Internet is unpredictable.
By the way, since we are at it, can somebody from Portugal confirm is this is still hapenning and if it happens to all of you?

No , for example Dark Duncan doesnt live near me neither one of my friends and he couldnt play either.... And it no was a problem of me. i could get on any server but not in of the regnum or the game!!!

dude chill and mellow out If ngd didnt tell you anything about it maybe ngd didnt know or maybe they were so busy making these uber new updates u cant really expect ngd to make new updates, write on this forum, send emails for these problems and test the game theres only 7 of em and im sure they work hard throughout the day. the games there for fun not to be on a better rank than another person. Even if you were first on the wealthy ranks what do you wanna do next sit there killing mobs everyday when your a level 50 just to get on number one dude its a chart saying that your wealthier than someone else who cares

The server worked, so it most likely was a routing problem, maybe someone at your provider botched a router update or further upstream something broke.

Try to understand the structure of the internet before you continue to flame NGD for something they have absolutely no control over.

no thats not the case a lot of ppl was saying they was not able to play they was from prtugal. i have like 4 in my clan i was only able to find out after i notice they was not able to go in. it was mostly the server problem not leting them in or something it has nuthin to do with there isp

First, NGD (niclam) has already stated they did not exclude players from Portugal. Why should they? I have not seen the error message but am willing to believe it was "Could not connect to (autopatch) server" or similar.
Same as for alsviar goes for you, you have to understand how the internet works to see why NGD cannot be held in any way responsible for that.
There was most likely a routing problem an the way from Portugal to the server in Sweden that caused connections to be lost. Maybe misconfiguration, maybe peering between ASNs got dropped due to unpaid fees, maybe broken hardware. It happens every day all over the internet.

Alsviar, calm down. There's no need to flame everyone. The server crashes quite regularly and besides, it was just 2 days. Now, you seem to be yelling at everyone which is wasting even more time, time that you could have used to gain those ranks back.

Regnum Online Rules of conduct

You accept not to incur in any of these actions during your stay in the community of Regnum Online (this includes all related sites, interactive tools like forums, chats, etc. and the game itself)

Violating or transgressing any of the norms, rules, terms or conditions included in the Regnum Online use terms agreement;
Sending any message, information, data, text, software or graphic files or other material (“Content”) being illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, pursuing, torturous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, dangerous, invasive of the privacy of others, containing hatred or aggressions and/or being racially, ethically or morally questionable;
Impersonating any person or entity including but not limited to members of NGD Studios, game masters, forum moderators; or expressing opinions on behalf of or falsely representing any other person or entity;
Publishing, promoting, manipulating or transmitting any Content for which you do not have intellectual or commercial property rights; or any other material or information protected by the privacy agreement included in the Regnum Online use terms agreement;

Uploading, spreading or transmitting any Content violating any patent, registered trademark, copyright or any other right of ownership of any person or entity.
In this sense, the user acknowledges that by sending (publishing or transmitting) Content to any tool or space in Regnum Online’s community, s/he automatically grants NGD Studios a free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive and completely sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derived works, distribute, execute, publish and show that Content (totally or partially) world-wide and/or incorporate it in other works or products in any known or latterly developed format, media, platform or technology.

Additionally, the user guarantees that s/he will not carry out any demand of any type about content, be it moral, economic, commercial or legal.
