Technical Issues.

I downloaded yesterday and I Registered. I looked at some very cool vids on Youtube ^_^ and I started playing. I double Clicked the icon logged on it verified I chose my Realm created a character, but whenever I hit "Play" on the character selection it stops loading. It will say "Loaded 71 out of 72 resources." and underneath "Downloading 1 resource from the web (0 bytes/s)" It starts at 2 bytes/s then goes to 32b/s and then to 0.

I have a Windows XP with a nVidia GeForce 7600 GS PCI Express graphics card. I have also forwarded the required Ports for the game and I have had the same problem. Please Help.

So, I reinstalled. Now the Patcher just loops downloading the "RegnumOnline.exe" file. It fnishes downloading it then closes. Then it pops back up again and starts to do it again... and a forever loop is occuring on my screen..

I wen to the Regnum folder and it created the RegnumOnline.exe and then the dlls, but since they were allready there it called the dlls "Old_" then went onto the file name. When it finihed it deleted the "Old_" prefixed files and starts the process again.

well.....I can't get it to work I've tried EVERYTHING so I'm going to go find another game. Bye Guys have fun :ohill:

I don't run windows so I can't really offer help, just some moral support (: Just try again at some point, maybe it was some temporary snafu? I don't really know, but I can tell you the game is very fun, and you'll miss out if you don't play it ;D

This is what you need to do,

1.Delete the live server folder
2. log on again and let it load the patch
3. click play and see if you have any problems after that, if you do come back to the thread and i will see what i can help you with.

I'm having same problem. I deleted the live server folder and it still loops.. loading the program, disappearing, loading the program.

I'm using windows XP or a fairly new system. Anything else to try? I'd really like to play this game. :ohill:

Maybe you should give it another try.

I got it to work, but I had to go to page 7 to find the link. Sticky maybe? It really needs to be fixed, although it will deter the 'shallow' player, it will also deter the occasional 'asset' player too.

I really suggest you sticky the patch details...

Also tips for the tech newbie:

explore your drive to find the main regnum folder, highlight the address at the top of the screen (if using Windows XP) and press CTRL + C to copy it. When the program ask you were to download it, paste (CTRL + V) into the directory field. This helps if you have a partition drive as it want to save it to C: which is not were most programs are kept on a split drive.

Don't forget to restart your computer after downloading the patch either, it won't work until you do.
