Hello! I am experiencing frequent crashes (once or twice an hour), especially when entering a new zone/area. The most common error message was "The instruction at 0x7c911e58 referenced memory at 0x00000061. The memory could not be "read".

I updated my video drivers, thinking maybe that would fix the problem. Now the error message is slightly different. The instruction location is now 0x7c91103c, and the memory location is 0x00481340.

I also noticed in Windows XP task manager that the amount of memory used by the client increases by about 20K/sec and never goes down. Is this a possible memory leak?

Since many others are not experiencing this problem, I am guessing it is with my system. What can I do to correct this issue?

Here are my system specs:

Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz
ASUS P4P800 Motherboard
1GB PC3200 DDR
nVidia GeForce FX 5700VE Video card
Onboard Sound
Windows XP Professional w/ Service Pack 2

Make sure your hardware is fine, and no fans are are failing, and nothing is overheating.

After frequent testing, one consistent crash is when I leave montsignor city. Crashes me EVERY time.

UPDATE:

I still can't figure out the problem, but because it seems to be isolated to my system and not anyone elses, I am guessing it is hardware incompatibility. So I swatted a fly with a sledgehammer. I bought a new system!
