Missing Npc's and Players pls help

I can get into the game and play but i only see my character and one npc named rulec...i can see the mobs but they are white so is the npc...my char has got no probs scenery is fine but the players are invisible and all except one npc is visible. Please help me.

Maybe you should choose the option "Update all resources at once" and see if that helps.

when i play with OpenGL i get similar pictures only in black

yes, arlick is right.
look in the upper left corner. When the bar is at 100% all the resources are downloaded

But it just stops loading at 84%...is there anyway to fix it? or is it just the connection problem? Thanks for replying :)

If you hover your pointer on the bar it'll show some extra details on what's being downloaded. The blue progress bar is the overall bar, the details will show the percentage of the (current) files being downloaded. Normally each file won't take long to download so you'll see some activity when you hover your pointer on the progress bar. If there's no activity at all, then it is stuck. If it's stuck, try enabling the "Update all new resources at once" option in the launcher's option screen. Once you're in the game, wait until the blue progress bar finishes downloading before loading your character.
