pc technicle help with lag probs please

will more memory for my pc change the amount of lag in any sugnifficant way

i am not a comp genious like some people but i know enough to get by

i had a great gaming comp but it burned up in the fire where i lost mostly everything

i had a lanparty ut3 motherboard with amd athalon(tm) 2.21 ghz. 3200+ 64 bit proc. in the garage .

i built a new comp from that.

the video card is not great only 128 mb radeon 9250 pci ( i normally had pci express before)

only 512mb of ram

windows xp home (service pack 2)

does any see anything that would make my gaming better that isnt a real expensive fix

I had the same problems, I'd recommend getting some more ram and a better graphics chip.

you can pick up a 512 stick of ram and a 256mb graphics chip for well under 100$ these days.
