Hi,

when CompizFusion is activated and i start the game in windowed mode the borders are missing (see screenshot) and the game is flickering so it is impossible to play.

Any hints on that?

Regards,
Dennis

Try adding

Option "AddARGBVisuals" "True"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

to your device section

I have added these two options to the xorg.conf but still the same.

On the added Screenshot you can see the flickering

window borders disappear at some point (1+ hour of playing) for me too.. maybe card runs out of memory or something.

Uhm, in all 3d applications (when you have to execute using DISPLAY=:0), the border are missing. It is due to that display have not a windows decorator manager. You can start a windows decorator manager in that display but your complete Compiz Desktop also have a border. The best solution is to play the game in a session without Xgl.

PD: Sorry for my bad english.

The flickering aka tearing is a documented bug in Compiz and mostly likely you are using an ATI card. your choices are 1 turn off Compiz, two - use XFCE and its built in compositing manager, which avoids the GL overlay issues with ATI cards.
