Ok, well I am dual booting Ubuntu 7.04 and Windows XP on this computer. The game works perfectly on my Windows XP OS, but when I go on my Ubuntu, it gives me an error about "Graphics card not supported".
My GFX Card- Visiontek 9200 SE (ATi Radeon)
Some specs-
300 gb HDD
512 mb RAM
Windows XP SP2
Ubuntu 7.04
Pentium D Dual core

You have to enable the acceleration on your Graphics adapter... Since it's an ATI you need to look on the repositories or for a howto.
PS: This should work: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=409012&highlight=acceleration+ati
Sorry, I can't help you more, I'm a nVidia user :S

Are you running XGL/AIXGL? (if you are running beryl/compiz/compiz fusion you probably are). If yes, check this:

Did it work? I have no experience with ATI, and a HOW-TO would be an excellent thing to have on the forums!
