When I start Regnum launcher from terminal, and after some time of playing, close regnum, in terminal writes smthg like: xx messages leaked. Some nights before, there was "89 messages leaked" message after i disconnected from regnum, written in terminal. What does it mean? And can those msgs help somehow to ngd and if yes, where are they stored so i can send em? I dont know whats about so i m asking now :)

It's a memory leak, not important (and fixed in the next version if i remember right)

This is how Regnum eats 1 GB of RAM and becomes so slow it feels like you're watching a movie from the 20's in slow motion :mf_hide:

I remember getting 1k+ msges leaked once. What fun times those were :p

What about one txt file i found in folder of game? its : leaked_messages.txt in live folder?
it has some functions and msg details, numbers and what not...
like this: (little part)

I think this is what happens when I shoot a monster and the hit doesn't get recorded

hmm!

i dont have a leaked_messages.txt
but i have a undelivered_messages_player_client.txt

with those contents

Message: undelivered_message?

has it something to do with lost xp/rp and unsaved position when the server crashes?

i checked, i dont have file u have. i have tons of crash_backtrace with different numbers, error log too, current build with one number in it, that leaked_msgs and others are some game files....
and in leaked msgs dont have smthglike u have in that file

Yes, they still leak. But this is not a bug, It's an easter-egg or a feature, a game within the game. The goal is to get as many memory leaks as possible :superpusso:

okey lets see your high score. I've had 1437 mem leaks. No screenshot though. I'll try and get one next time ;)

Hum, some month after this post i have the same probleme as Anpu. Maybe i don't have the next version :sifflote:

No worries Kamax, I still can see amount of leaked messages too. It is not removed still.
One thing is: minimum 7 leaked messages are just for one trade with one item I think.
More trades, even more leaks.
Less leaks are in hunts or one fight.
And I heard someone also noticed that trade window doesnt work correctly at some NPCs, like not giving correct amount of money (like it displayed in total bill) and such.
So I think trade should be checked :)

actually it seems that it got worse in general with newer updates. I remember player under linux with no problems, no fps lags, no crashes, everything perfect. Currently under linux I won't get leaks after 5 min but especially certain spells like meteor, fireball, protection dome, ... seem to cause temporarily drop in fps (noticable when levelling, screen freezes for a short moment after impact of meteor, fps drop). And after 1 hour of playing or during a big fort fight fps usually change from 0 and around 50-60 from one second to the next and back all the time. The last update only made it a bit better but the general problem has never been solved. This phenomenon is often visible in form of protection domes/winter strokes extending on the whole screen. It really sucks that I'm forced to play under Windows now, after some hours of playing exiting the game can take some minutes, fps are not really good and crashes almost force a reboot every time.
The number of messages leaked doesn't really correspond to those effects. High number certainly means that the games is was unplayable but this can also happen with rather low numbers like < 10.
Using 'nice' seems to help for levelling situations/small fights but makes things even worse in bigger ones.
