Every once in a while, my computer will freeze with the music sounding like a broken record. After that I get a blue screen with random coding. The same thing happens whenever I try to press CTRL+ALT+Delete to end the program. HELP!!!

that's windows related, the best thing to fix a lot of bsod's is to backup the files on your harddisk and format your computer

Insert gentoo live cd
Reboot
mount /dev/hda1 /mnt/gentoo
cd /mnt/gentoo
rm -rf ./*

Install gentoo
Install regnum online

No more BSOD xD (unless when you use the BSOD screensaver :superpusso: )

BSOD xscreensaver is great! it has error screens from more operating systems and they can be removed without rebooting
but I don't think gentoo is the best to recommend to a windows guy :wiggle14:

No... this is a specific issue introduced by the update. See here (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=20765) and here (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=20664).
Somehow Regnum is managing to crash the sound driver(on Windows) or sound server(on Linux) occasionally.

Although usually the game just locks up or crashes instead, or sound just cuts out if you're lucky.
the blue screen is XD

Thats right-everyone format your PC to solve any problem you may have

Actually, the best way to solve BSOD's is to make a note of the error number and do a google or microsoft search for the best solution.

As amusing as I find your posts, humorous fluff (spam ;) ) is not allowed in this area of the forum.
Was this adressed to me? :angel1:

Anyway, back in the day I used windows, a BSOD could only be fixed by rebooting.
If it kept comming, reinstalling the OS would work in case a search for the specific error (as mentionded by Solidchrome) gave noting useful.

It's annoying, I know... but what can you do about it huh? (except for what I suggested :P)

Oh, and Blaine: gentoo also has a good community, so why should I recommend it? ^^
