My problem: extremely low frame rates (2 fps or less). It is okay at first, but after a few minutes the game slows down so much so that I cannot play. It was worse under Windows, completely unusable. I installed Ubuntu just for this game, and it worked like a dream - for a while. I have always had a slow frame rate (10 - 15 fps during battles), but never so bad that I couldn't play.

I just don't understand it. I know users with computers with much lower specification than mine have no problem...

I am running Linux Ubuntu (latest release). I have a 3.33 GHz Celeron D, 1,024 MB DDR RAM, 120 GB HD, SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit sound card, GeForce 6200 128 MB graphics board, 8 Mb/s internet connection... All drivers installed and working.

Why won't this game play ball?!!! Please help!

There's already a thread on this (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=20664). :)

I read that thread before starting a new one. It is just full of people saying they have the same problem, which doesn't help in the slightest I'm afraid.

I was wondering if someone more experienced than me might be able to suggest any solution (configuration changes to my computer, etc.). Do I need more RAM or a better card? I really don't see why I should, seeing as I can run games with much more demanding graphics than this, but if it works then I'll do it. I just don't want to run out and spend money if it will not solve the problem. My computer copes fine with everything else.

You misunderstand then. :o It's a problem with the last update, there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Bummer. I hope they fix this soon, because I simply love this game.

By the way, thanks for your attention on this post.

I just got back into the game, I quickly deleted my character after trying to run somewhere and nearly getting motion sickness from all the jerkyness. I'll remain inactive until this improves.
