Yes what bows are u using if u are a hunter and wich u think its the best for a hunter?
I use shortbows because of the nice speed and Tear apart is IMO better than break apart. Projectile Rain is still better than rep shot though.

I recommand everyone choose the bow he prefers!
I use short ones, or long ones depending on my mood. Note that hunters with a SB can attack at 30m range every 7seconds (I told you we are so overpowered).
What if you don't have the mana/points for ensnaring? :P

Ensnaring Arrow is range 25...
nope, it is range 30, means you can cast it with a range 20 bow even when the target is 30 m away.
I know how bad you feel when you try to rely on the information on regnumzg.com...should be updated

one question: is this poll about using bows in pvp or while grinding?

Use it in PvP, not grinding...this isn't a lvling game.

Damage isn't everything. You can deal decent dmg with Proj. Rain while staying from afar. Of course you could sneak up using camo, but then you might have a hard time getting back to your allies. Besides proj. rain has a higher area and you could lay some very good traps with it.

projectile rain is not that good...it looks nice on paper...and I used it in my early marks days too...but since there are so much "bubble boys" around it is not wortt to use it...about 80% of all targets will either bloc, resist, evade or get 0 dmg.
A marks has better area spells than the areas in bow disciplines and from the hunters point of view rep shoot is the better spell due to camo. And getting away...well...it is no problem...use sotw
Rep shot will get blocked/resisted/evaded too and proj. rain hits more enemies.

yes, the miss chance is the same, but you can choose far better on which spot you cast it because you are close the the targets. When there are standing some knights around and you cast rep shoot on them it is your fault.
Also...I prefer high damage on a few targets than medium damage on much targets....better 3 dead enemies and 2 with much hp than 5 half dead enemies

I use a short bow for grinding too....it depends on how you use it. I kill faster with short than long.

I rely on my own memory. The spell was changed (should I say improved) then. I knew it was now weapon damage, didn't know range was improved too (or more like: it wasn't in the changelog).

Necrovarus what level is your archer ?
It's not to be rude at all:
- From lvl 28 to 32 I really enjoyed SB because I had one good SB with dexterity bonus.
- From lvl 32 to 45 or 46 I really enjoyed the long bow starting from composite impale one. They have a good range and good amount of dmg.
- and now I switch from SB to LB because SB at my level can give really huge amount of dmg comparing to low lvl SB and dual shot isn't mana expensive.
This is my noob experience opinion.

I use both short and long bows. Currently im set up for short bows, but i change my setup all the time.
Both have their places. By and large, if i could only use one type, i do definitely prefer longbows. They're a lot more flexible in battle.

Aye, nothing like the long-bow with caltrops eh....

Rep shot will get blocked/resisted/evaded too and proj. rain hits more enemies.
The difference is Proj. Rain will be blocked by Deflecting Barrier while Rep. Shot won't. And you can hit as many enemies with one as with the other being the positioning and timing of the spell activation of major importance (on both).
Either using one or the other has advantages, better use both for different situations but if maxed, I would go straight to short bows... but that's my playing style.

If you're into fort wars, a 30rng longbow with lvl 5 parabolic shot, lvl 5 shield pierce, lvl 5 passive dmg bonus, and lvl 5 projectile rain is pretty hard to beat for a hunter.
Conversely, in fort wars, pets are pretty crappy, and while the SB gives that big Rep shot attack, it's only 1x every three minutes. The rest of the time you're at a huge disadvantadge if you close into firing range.
