S3 GammaChrome S18
S3 DeltaChrome S8

Intel 915 (OnBoard)
Intel 965 (OnBoard)

Note on Video Integrated Intel 915, 965, etc..
They should download the drivers from the official page Intel, because according to them they support OpenGL 1.4. Besides support PS 2.0 albeit fairly inefficient hence although how DX9 should work surely is not entirely playable.

The graphic Video OnBoard Intel 815, 865 are not supported by DirectX for the time being.

The graphic VIA/S3 Unichrome work with the drivers updated.

Mode OpenGL

ATI Radeon 7500
ATI Radeon 8500
ATI Radeon 9000
ATI Radeon 9100
ATI Radeon 9200
ATI Radeon 9250

nVidia GeForce 256
nVidia GeForce 2 Series (MX, GTS, TI, Ultra, etc)
nVidia GeForce 3 Series (Ti)
nVidia GeForce 4 MX Series
nVidia GeForce 4 TI Series

We dont recognize support graphic Video OnBoard VIA/S3 Unicrome from Intel Onboard 8xx (810, 815, 845, 865, etc.) and the SIS (SiS 300/305/630/540/730) in OpenGL. We always recommend using the latest version of the drivers available.

Where can I download the drivers? Well from this links below, according to the graphic card you currently using:

Web Site of nVidia (http://www.nvidia.com)
Web Site of ATI (http://www.ati.com)
Web Site of Intel (http://www.intel.com)
Web Site of XGI (http://http://www.xgitech.com/)
Web Site S3 Graphics - For UniChrome/GammaChrome/DeltaChrome (http://www.s3graphics.com/en/products/)
Web Site of SIS (http://www.sis.com/download/)

If you want to know if your video card supports the 2 OpenGL extensions needed to play Regnum you can get the following software that contains a large database of various boards and their support OpenGL:
GL Extension Viewer (http://www.realtech-vr.com/glview/download.html)

Special thanks to Killeak for making this thread in the spanish section, I took the liberty to translating it for the english community.

It was not worked me either under ubuntu, but since i moved to debian, everything is ok now. Well, some weird graphics and only working on safe mode, but at least no more screen freezes and crash. Something is wrong with ubuntu?

I have spoken to a few users of ubuntu 8.04 and they don't have a problem playing the game, although none are currently using the intel 945gm chipset. So I beleive that the problem is in the code not in ubuntu its self.

Hrmm, I'm using openGL in Linux, and I have a GF5200 card. Is it not supported then? (kinda makes no sense to me)

I haven't played for a couple weeks now, and when I open Regnum I can't see any models in-game or anything like that - just the game's GUI (bars, chat, etc) and some picture (game art) :S

When trying to start up the game it stops just before it finishes up with its verification.

According to the options my Detected GPU is the following:
Mobile Intel (R) 945 Express Chipset Family

It also mentions that it's an unsupported hardware.

Now I'm not an expert in this particular field at all...so is there anything I might need to download or install from Intel? Or is there something completely different I need to get?

My OS is Windows Vista

I use an Intel 945GM without problems. Sometimes the game does take a very long time to verify though; I don't know what causes it but I don't think it's a graphics card problem.

If you want to check you've got the latest drivers you can do it through windows update, or go to this page: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm (you might need to use IE).

There's also the fact of course that the game shouldn't be installed in the Program Files folder (by default it isn't).

Apparently I had to wait for the game to verify before going on so yeah it was just a waiting issue :P

Ive started getting "Error Initalizing Direct3D Renderer" messages since I got my PC fixed and the OS changed to Vista, any ideas?

I think it could be a driver issue but have no idea how to find out which one/ones I need :/

EDIT

http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/detect.htm (you might need to use IE).

I just ran this and got this at the end.

Product Detected Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Current Driver Installed 6.0.6000.16386
Your driver is current.

So either its not this driver thats the problem or something else is causing it :/

I have the same problem recently, and use the same chipset. Do you use opengl, or direct x tho? because after it verifies for me at the little brown regnum connecting screen it stalls. Sometimes it just stalls at the connecting, checking firewall screen and other times it says server not available,co12. Even tho the servers are online. I noticed in options that it also says my 945 express chipset family video card is not supported, but it seems to work with other players. I also have all the current drivers. Any1 know anyway to help my problem? i would appreciate it.

Hello
I'll buy a PC with Nividia graphic card geforce 315 M, I was wondering if it's good to play in regnum maximum requirements?
thanks to all who would respond

My Geforce GT430 1gb runs the game anywhere from 30-60 fps maxed at 1600x900, but drops lower sometimes when there's a zerg nearby. Still works perfect.

As far as the 315 goes, I'd say you'd be hardpressed to max this game out at playable framerates, atleast at my resolution. It's a little worse than my card it seems, so I'd expect 25-50 fps while grinding, and much less in the warzone. What resolution will you be playing at?

Nvidia GeForce 315 here,

I play shader 4.0 everything maxed out, no shadows and terrain details, around 50-60 fps with 1600x900

Do terrain details really give you that big of an fps boost? I might have to try it. I know shadows are killer though.

edit: Just started playing skyrim, and I'm getting more fps there than in regnum :cuac:

So is it 315 or 315M now? They're completely different cards, first one's for desktop PCs, second one is for notebooks and is certainly slower. If it's a notebook, it may not run at playable framerates with maxed out settings but I predict it should still be playable at lower settings. I have a notebook with a Radeon Mobility HD5470 and Regnum is playable on it. I can't exactly find a lot of benchmark data about the 315M.

There are some comparisons here, but it's mostly just speculation for this card (no numbers in the boxes): http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html

ATI HD 4670 512MB here. 1152x864.
Shaders 4.0. Terrain details, shadows and trails disabled.
Under Linux :
50-70 FPS when idle.
25-40 FPS when warring.
Windows :
Add 15-20 more FPS...

The options that eat the most FPS for me are clearly antialias and terrain details.

Benchmarking graphics cards has changed in recent years especially when it comes to game performance.
As games become more shading intensive, a good GPU for gaming has become prodigiously based on their shader clock as opposed to their pixel fill rate as was prior to this change.

For example, comparing two similarly priced recent graphics cards from the Radeon and nVidia range.

(Both 2GB models)

Manufacturer: AMD
Series: Radeon HD 6k
GPU: Cayman
Release Date: 2010-12-14
Interface: PCI-E 2.0 x16
Core Clock: 800 MHz
Shader Clock: 800 MHz
Memory Clock: 2500 MHz (5000 DDR)
Memory Bandwidth: 160 GB/sec
FLOPS: 2252.8 GFLOPS
Pixel Fill Rate: 25600 MPixels/sec
Texture Fill Rate: 70400 MTexels/sec

Manufacturer: nVidia
Series: GeForce GTX 500
GPU: GF114
Release Date: 2011-01-25
Interface: PCI-E 2.0 x16
Core Clock: 822 MHz
Shader Clock: 1644 MHz
Memory Clock: 2004 MHz (4008 DDR)
Memory Bandwidth: 128.256 GB/sec
FLOPS: 1262.592 GFLOPS
Pixel Fill Rate: 26304 MPixels/sec
Texture Fill Rate: 52608 MTexels/sec

As is clear above, the Radeon 6950 tops the GTX 560 Ti in almost everything but shader clock, in which the GTX 560 Ti has more than double.
You only need adequate amounts of the other statistics for gaming, these days the shading is what really counts.

If you want to compare graphics cards yourself, here's a link.
