just downloaded the game last night, and this morning had about 5 or 6 crashes before I took a break. The first four didnt give much, but I got a message on the 5th:

"the instruction at '0x77f58d2c' refrenced memory at '0x000c61e0'. Memory could not be 'written'"

any ideas on how to stop the crashing?

turn off your firewall

duel core machines can have a sync problem that causes them to crash as well... since we have a new anti speed hack system... just ask

yea firewall needs to be turned off to help the game run faster.
but in anycase only turn down that feature. only firewall.

ok,
its getting ridiculous here folks....

someone has suggested turning off the firewall. is that a software firewall or the hardware kind?

also, I have been experiencing game freezes on my amd_64 X2 system (with 8 GB of ram on board) using an nvidia Geforce6 6800TC. The sriver is current under kubuntu linux (gutsy 7.10) and works well with other games. only THIS GAME seems to have issues.

I have been frozen out 3x today, all those times I was just starting a battle in emerald hills against magic beetles and each time, I am frozen out in the act of casting a spell and each time I relog on after having to do a kill -9, I am dead and respawned.

THIS IS GETTING INTOLERABLE!!!!

to begin with, there appears to be a memory leak issue with the client. I have seen the amount of ram it uses grow with time.
there is also a cpu utilization problem where the client will use upwards of 80-99% cpu (and generally right before it crashes it pegs at 100%). this may be related to the mem leak problems.

Perhaps NGD should open their source and let a few extra eyes take a look at it and see if the problems can be resolved (you can still protect your copyrights even under open source of you do it right).

Mind you, this is a nice game and I do enjoy it, but all the crashes and other issues make it hard to play. C'mon guys, you have some good talent and you should be able to do better than this!.

I agree with that. NGD are a very small team, and they already have a Balance Team to help them with those matters, so what's the problem with the community help them with those issues?
