Depends, I've been needing to upgrade my gear for a while now, I'm going to see wha, if any funding I can get for equipment for classes I'm taking this fall, if I can get enough to build a decent rig then I'll probably be back, though not as often as I ever was. I've been wonder what all I've been missing. Jst hope my crappy line doesn't lag as much... Though testing with a client comp build a while back shows that all I really need is a new machine since I was able to hold 60FPS in Regnum easily on an AMD X2 4000+, 2Gb of ram and an 8500GT 128-Bit GDDR3 edition. The build was only $450 for the client for everything, good enogh for regnum,
but too slow for me as I'm wanting to get some Quake Wars going.

I'm hoping for around $1500 for a comp, then I'll be able to go with 8Gb of ram, a quad core CPU 8800GT/HD3870 or whatevers in that price bracket with the new GPUs comming out this summer. Going to keep an eye on Computex Taipei for more info on the new gear, some great stuff has already been anounced and it's only just started.

Me play with the goats? NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOoooooooooo......

But yeah, I gried my old box's graphics card, it still worksish, but feels like it's messed up for any 3d, I guess I pushed it too hard too long, the 6200 (NV44a) was never meant to overclock, if you remember I ran at 437/1242 (stock speeds are 350/800) almost 24/7, well I tried to push it further and caused a little damage... anything non 3d is fine, but anything 3d gets a little glitchy now or seems to rn a little bit slower then it used to. I figured I was goon on the cooling since it was fanless to begin with and ran burning hot without gaming or overclocking, but with a small 40mm fan on the then lapped and arctic silvered heatsink I was down to around 40c overclocked after a few hours of regnum so I don't think it was heat that killed it.

Don't listen to the smurf Duo

You keep in touch with Fubar too? You guys got MSN or something, we could use some more original legends to show Ignis how to play ;)

Yah, We're both usually on aim, dunno if he'll come back to regnum, we tried a few other free MMOs a while back, like Perfect World(excelent char creation system, boring and forgetable gameplay though), Shadowbane(horrible in every way) and I think Fub is playing 2Moons and Feista, I haven't tried due to me damaging my card lol.

I'm looking forward to the release of Valve's Steam based games for linux as well as the release of Postal 2 online for linux as well.

Like I said though, I'm hoping my next box will be my last comp for a very long time so I'm looking to overbuild on it within reason, not going stupid like some of the guys I talk to on the OC forums that spend around 3k a year on comp parts for the same 1 or 2 rigs, just constantly moving to the latest parts trying to overclock as far as they can.

But yeah, check out my profile for all my instant messaging clients, I'm almost always on aim and jabber/gtalk as I prefer iChat to audium on my Macs, but I'm always logged into all of them on the linux box. My MSN is my not often checked public email and jabber/gtalk account. the aim account is my very old public email that nolonger works for email.

Hit me up whenever, I still almost never sleep...
