Running Regnum (linux 32 bit) on Intel 945 after installing Regnum and the Ubuntu (hardy) disk with DRI enabled.

I get graphical errors like this one:
http://regnumonline.com.ar/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=9838&d=1209976417

Would anyone have a solution for this? Like what I could download to fix those errors?

(I am a linux PT)

There is no solution for that, at least i dont know any. I have the same problem too, unfortunatly the intel cards arent supported.
Well at least the lack of spell animations make the game faster.

I'd had it fixed twice, once by Crashito and once by Zielski, just can't remember what exactly I had to do :D

Here is a fast how to:

in /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Change
Driver "i810"

by
Driver "intel"

with driconf disable s3tc

Install libgl1-mesa-dev

then download http://homepage.hispeed.ch/rscheidegger/dri_experimental/libtxc_dxtn070518.tar.gz

untar it and compile it and install it (with make, make install (needs to be root to make install))

Then restart your Xserver either you are fucked, either it will works.

I don't know it either!
It comes from crashito on IRC. It looks like an experimental DRI. And it worked on Lena's laptop.

Do you see paint on armors ? Cause I'm not, but when I switch to XP (with Open GL or Direct X) I see them. And who can explains me why it doesn't work ? (I'm curious  )

There is a debug option in the config file to disable shaders.
It might be enabled, try to disable it and it might work.

I know another player who got the same problem but solved it that way.

This seems to have fixed it partially on my laptop. At least I don't get the "unsupported video card" message anymore, and can see the character selection screen. But I still crash right when I'm about to enter the game world.

I run Gentoo, not Ubuntu, so maybe the package versions are different for me. Which versions of X and Mesa are you running on Ubuntu?

This howto did the trick to fix the error message "Unsupported video card" that i got when trying to launch regnum on an Ubuntu 8.04 laptop with integrated Intel 945GM graphics card.

Play with full screen/safe mode/resolution.
On my lappy i have to play with safe mode off :D in window mode in some weird res. But i can cope with that.
