So on my second machine I've been trying to get Regnum running without much success.
Every 1 in 100 tries it decides to launch and runs very well. So something strange is going on...
Every time I launch the log file in LiveServer says this:
[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [RenderizerGL][renderizer_windows.cpp(101)] Primary device: ATI RADEON 9100 IGP
[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [RenderizerGL][renderizer_windows.cpp(107)] Running on: Windows XP

[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl.cpp(233)] OpenGL renderer: RADEON 9100 IGP DDR x86/SSE2
[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl.cpp(234)] OpenGL version: 1.3.3927 WinXP Release
[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl_extensions_loader.cpp(256)] Detected OpenGL extensions: GL_ARB_multitexture, GL_ARB_point_parameters, GL_ARB_texture_compression, GL_ARB_texture_cube_map, GL_ARB_texture_env_add, GL_ARB_texture_env_combine, GL_ARB_texture_env_dot3, GL_ARB_texture_mirrored_repeat, GL_ARB_vertex_program, GL_EXT_blend_func_separate, GL_EXT_draw_range_elements, GL_EXT_fog_coord, GL_EXT_secondary_color, GL_EXT_separate_specular_color, GL_EXT_stencil_wrap, GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc, GL_EXT_texture_edge_clamp, GL_EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic, GL_EXT_texture_lod_bias, GL_EXT_texture_rectangle, GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap, GL_SGIS_texture_lod, WGL_ARB_pbuffer, WGL_ARB_pixel_format, WGL_ARB_render_texture, WGL_EXT_swap_control
[03/07/2008 17:46:44] [SDB_File][sdb_file.cpp(1188)] SDB: ..\data0.sdb(54.71 MB), fragmentation: 1.93%
This happens after clicking "Enter Game World", where a small Checking Firewall... window would normally appear. Where that window should be is a black box, or a frozen-pixel area which won't update until I force quit Reg.
I've tried re-installing and also getting the data0.sbd from a different computer which runs reg fine. But I'm guessing the real problem is this:
My graphics card is on the supported OpenGL list, although I think the minimum GL version is 1.4 ... Perhaps this problem is that simple of a fix? Could somebody show me how to update OpenGL on my ATI card? I can't figure it out.
Thanks! -Plover
