and I quote:Regnum Online is a MMORPG inviting you to PLAY FOR FREE with no level or time restrictions. All that is required is that you fight for your realm.I would consider fatigue to be a leveling restriction :sifflote:
the home page needs to be updated or made more clear :\

No, you can have a lvl 50 character without paying at all. It's hard, but possible.

The point was not on the free playability... it was on the time restrictions as marked in bold by Godofsilver. Because there is no comment on a fatigue system. And level restrictions.... lvl 50 is max. So somehow restricted i would say. But with the fatigue system more or less not reachable in near time, if you start a new char without any premiums. So possible right for new players, that there is almost no level restriction. At least not a reachable in the next year.

Play for free with no level or time restriction means

You have access to the same levels, premium-user or not
You can play as much as you want

Fatigue as nothing to do with that.

You sound like a lawyer. :)

I think your interpretation is strictly correct, but it is easy to see how some people might feel misled by the description.

In particular, i think the phrase 'no time restrictions' might have new players wondering why their lvling time is restricted.

Of course, they can still play the game.

But they are effectively restricted from lvling, if they don't pay...

well, leveling time is not restricted. You can be fatiqued up to red, but you will still get xp and you can level. Also you can do quests, or you can do war. All without any time restriction.

With time restriction they understand that you have acsess to the game as long as you want. And this you have.

However, they should metnion fatique system somewhere in game description. Because bew players "buy" a game from which they don't know which handycaps it has. At about lvl 20 they will know then, and will be disappointed for sure since they did not know about it before.

I said 'effectively' restricted.

You know as well as i do that lvling whilst on red fatigue prevents the ability to level effectively.

If there are quests to do, there is still that.

But killing mobs on red fatigue is a futile way to gain xp.

I also said that the wording in the homepage is strictly correct.

But that doesn't take away from the fact that new players in particular might get confused by it...

Not in leveling parties where you get +150GRP per mob.

yeah, challenge and group bonus is not effected by fatique.

But yes, you are right, it is not as effective than without fatique, and yes, you are right, strictly the homepage is right. My post was not directed against your post.

Yes it is ok, but still less effective, but I know some players that continue because of the GRP bonus and CHG bonus :)

yes, chg and grp are not affected

but I agree with godofsilver, fatique is a levelling restriction because it restricts your levelling :)

Fatigue is not a leveling restriction, in that they mean that Regnum isnt some free 40 day trial or some crap like that.

I can't find the long post from NGD somewhere explaining the stuff they implemented. More about the excuse of the fatigue system.

But I certainly agree with GoS. As I recall, that particular post, mentioned something that sounds like they implemented fatigue as another way of saying "we care for you and we don't like you playing more than 4 hours a day".... Just an interpretation. So yeah! That thing about time restriction should some sub-info. Like: No time restrictions for war. Or: no time restirictions... except you will suffer overtime... But we have premium items! Hurray!.......... Something like that.

It's not my intention.
And it's not in me to stir up some problems.
I'm just saying that I agree with GoS.

Should I edit the post?

Eh I'm not going through this again. Level restrictions as you can play for free till 20th lvl. Then you have to pay. Fatigue is not a restriction. Live with it.
