Hi Community,
Due to some user's reports indicating that after the last update they suffer sudden FPS (Frames Per Second) low downs, I'd like that all of you experiencing this problem leave a constancy of this issue leaving some information about your PCs:

Processor: Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz
Video Card: Nvida GeForce 7300GO
Operating System: Linux, openSUSE 11
RAM: 1GB 667 MHz
Whenever I am near a fort with many players I get frequent fps lag spikes lasting 2-4 seconds where my image totally freezes.
Enabling Safe Mode increase the performance, but small freezes are still noticable.
I did not have this problem before the update.
I don't know if it helps, but during these lag spikes my gameplay ping goes crazy while my server ping remains calm.

Processor: Intel core 2 duo 2.2Ghz,
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600,
OS: Windows Vista,
RAM: 2GB 539 MHz.
Before the update I could hunt at 40 - 60 FPS, if not more. Wars / hunts etc. were NO problem. The only time I would lag was if I got server lag, or if I had been at a fort war for ages.
After the update I'm at ~20 FPS at all times, if I see other players that then lowers to ~15, and at fort wars it INSTANTLY drops to ~7.

Before update I would get around 40-60FPS "normally" with all graphics on high, and antialiasing 1x Antistropic 4x. After update I got over 100FPS "normally" with the same settings, but several times I had major freezes where FPS dropped to 2 and lower. The freezes happened over about a 10 minute period, and don't seem to happen anymore.

since a few updates ago (I think it was the tunic paint & fatigue one) I kept experiencing sudden fps drops in medium and bigger fights under linux. Fps drop from 60 down to 1 very suddenly, I can't even exit the game in a normal way. It never got better with the following updates. Additionally fps will drop to about one half if I switch from full screen and back and not recover
So I'm currently playing under Windows again, with bad (since the newest update) but at least constant fps, the big memory leaks and the 5 min to exit the game is really annoying.
my hardware:
Core 2 Duo 1.86 Ghz
1 GB ram , 667Mhz
Ati mobility radeon x1300
and Opensuse11.0 or XP sp2
could NGD maybe make some kind of diagnosis tool which records possible reasons of fps drops/other strange effects, so the community can better help you to fix the problems? For example I'd really like to know if my problems are really my problems or NGD's

AMD Turion 64 Mobile 2GHz (CPU settings to high performance)
ATI Radeon Xpress 1100
896 MB RAM (+128MB shared memory for ATI)
WinXP Mutlimedia Edition
Edit: At Fort fights or if bigger groups (firends or foes) are near, my FPS drop down to almost 0.
Settings are on lowest, except that of the specials the partical effects are on. Sounds is switched off during playing.
When i am just running around my FPS is between 15 and max value seen so far 55. But normally around ~23FPS in a not crowded area

Processor: Core 2 Duo, T7100 @ 1.8GHz
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT
Operating System: GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 7.10, kernel: 2.6.22)
RAM: 2GB DDR2 PC5300
When I log in, I can peak a bit over 100 FPS, but after a short while of playing I have like 25, at fort wars 5-20. It doesn't matter if I turn post-processing on or off, or have water details low or high (my GPU just gets a bit hotter). Multitexturing makes a little difference, but besides from that I get really low FPS in fortwars, no matter what settings I choose.
Without extensive testing I believe that I have much better results on the other computer:
Processor: P4 3.4 GHz (Prescott)
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6800 something (not quite sure)
Operating System: GNU/Linux (Ubuntu 7.10, kernel:2.6.22)
RAM: Not sure, but I think it's 3GB PC3200. Earlier it was only 1GB, but it was still a lot faster.
EDIT: Anyone got info about wether multi kernel processor support will get better, or not?

In safe mode it's possible to play fort wars, otherwise it's impossible. Gameplay ping runs to funny red 5-digit numbers

I'm happy to say that after that small hotfix, or whatever you did, my problems are all gone :)
Not only is my performance back to normal - But I can now cruise along at over 100 FPS.
Big thumbs up to you NGD, great work :)

Same here. I'm playing at 90 fps at the moment, even on the laptop.
Excellent work.
PS: Of course fps drops at the usual cases, I'm talking about the best case scenario. FPS used to be around 40, now it's over 90 :)

Cannot say that the Update fixed my problems. Yesterday at aggers i had 1 FPS and could not even select a target.

This update is bad for me. The game runs worse now. Fort wars are impossible for me, it write 2 FPS, but the actual FPS is different. BTW while my char running the game freezes every 10-15 sec for a sec or 2, and inet ping is ok. Force safe mode graphics. :)

I experience the game lag when more then 5-6 players are at the same location at the same time and there are atleast twice as many mobs, and all the players fight against the mobs. (some of the players also used pets, if that helps you in the search for the bug).
Mobs "teleporting" around and even if you are facing the mob at a range of 5-10, there is error-messages as "You are not facing your enemy" and "Out of range" (this is found with a warlock, lvl29, killing "Very hard" mobs to lvl to 30).
A perfect place to recreate these bugs are near Wind Rune Stone, North-east of Korsum Town.

Tested on a non-dual core PC: I have the same problems as Znurre in another thread (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=27726) only my freezes are not small, if people enter in the 50m radius that they become visible, I get freezes of up to 4-5 seconds. Maybe more if there's lots of people that appear at once. I guess duration of the freeze is system dependant.
These freezes almost disappear on my dual-core laptop. Really a huge difference.

Just some info. With my new System (the other one posted here is my notebook I normally play Regnum with) QuadCore 2.4GHz, Geforce 9800GT (512MB) and Vista it works quiete fine. Highest Details with 30+ FPS, even during Fort fights. Only sometimes some little Freezes in between. But mostly not.
Maybe the minimum requirements are a little bit too low for this game?
