So tired

Dear friends,

I would just like to say that I am too tired to play anymore and that I have decided to take a permanent leave. To that end, I will be giving my characters away to a friend to ensure that I never return again.

It is sad that for many of us Regnum Online is merely an addiction and has almost no redeeming qualities. And it is even more sad that I don't ever see this changing because NGD doesn't want to understand what it means. I've always tried to keep it a healthy addiction, trying to value the better aspects of the game; the promise, the potential. But that potential is so far away now, and I'm not convinced it will ever truly be realized.

Some may say, don't take the game so seriously. But the truth is, you have to put forth so much work, so much effort in Regnum Online, and even your hard-earned money, just to get anywhere notable in the game. It's a bit hard to not take something serious when you've been forced to put forth so much effort just to play it. And unfortunately, this particular aspect of the game just continues to get worse and worse over time.

The only redeeming quality Regnum Online has had up until now is that it wasn't like every other MMO, but with recent changes, now it is. But unlike other MMOs it doesn't have all of the content, social interaction and other elements that make those games great despite the downsides such as grinding or being item-based.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I have come to believe it is just a waste of time.

I lose interest in the game from time to time, but now i'm continuously take breaking when I play in one day just to de-stress myself from the lag/bugs/etc. But I keep playing, just switch chars all day >.<

Well see you around then, Im expecting lots of players to be leaving and not coming back during the summer, and those of you that stay here playing during summer just ruin your taste for Regnum.

People need a break to keep it fresh, alot of you guys are nonstop players (its a good thing too) but it has its drawbacks as it takes a toll on you playing 24/7. When you take your mind off things you keep your interest and you don't have to worry about what is going on.

Right now im in break, "Whats that? I hear some problems that are happening after the update?" Pfft, not my problem :) I haven't been ingame in a while to care.

But Kate you were so helpful to the community ;P Lost another there.

Sometimes this game can be totally frustrating, many aspects don't improve but get worse with updates but there are good changes too (I'm thinking of camo xD ) and sometimes you feel great, sometimes not. For me 70% are standard situations, totally automated where I don't feel the real challenge, 25% are just bad and 5% is where it is just funnier than most other games. I'm addicted to that 5% when I just have a brilliant moment. There is no sunshine without rain, and the longer it rains the brighter the sun will shine.
But congratulations to you that you can let go, that you can give your acc to a friend to use your time in a better way, instead of wasting your time waiting for those 5%. You are doing something I currently couldn't :thumb_up:
