I have a really nice computer with 4gb ram and a nvidia 7950 graphics card running Regnum on Ubuntu 8.04. In many places the graphics work fine, but in some places I get a black and white grid pattern. Screen shot #1 gives you an example of when there are clouds, screen shot #2 shows without cloud and looks fine. I also get this grid pattern on castles and on trees too. Does anyone have a fix for this? Any setting changes I can make? Any config files to change? Thanks! Game is great! Already level 8! Woohoo!

Try to use the new 173.* drivers series.
It will solve your problems.
