My guess would be a video of Regnum Online. But hey that's just a random stab at the dark. I noticed they failed to mention a prize. A prize should be announced when competitions are announced to give incentive for a person to participate in the competitions.

Terms and Conditions:

“Regnum Online video contest” is an event proposed by NGD Studios having the finality of entertaining and at the same time competing for a prize through the development of a video of Regnum Online (from now on, “the game”) that will be sent from the users to the established media.

1 – Objective

The contest’s objective is to foment the users’ creative activity towards the game awarding the talent that they reflect in their vision of what happens inside it captured in the video. The winners will have a prize depending of the position their videos obtain.

2 – Participation

To qualify as a contestant you will have to comply with all regulations established in this document as long as you provide every missing data required by the organizers that isn’t specified in this document.

3 – Development of the Contest

The contest will begin on Wednesday July 30, 2008. Videos will be accepted since Monday August 18, 2008 inclusive until Wednesday August 27, 2008 inclusive, date in which the contest will be finished.

On Wednesday September 3, 2008 the contest winners will be announced and the prizes will be given.

To be a contestant is imperative to have a game account and you may send only 1 (one) video per user.

Winner videos will be exposed officially in the game’s web page and in the Community Forum. Also, there will be a list of the “special mentioned” videos.

4 – Voting and winner determination

- There will be considered as winners 5 (five) of all the valid contesting videos. Also, 5 (five) videos will have a special mention. The evaluation criteria will be internally determined by NGD Studios.

- The evaluation will consider creativity, edition tidiness and photography.

- The results will be published on September 3, 2008 at 12:00 (GMT-3) in the Community Forum and in the Community section in the official web site of the game, announcing the 5 (five) winners and the 5 (five) special mentions.

- Prizes will be directly delivered into the accounts/characters specified in the inscription as corresponding to the obtained position in the contest.

5 – Prizes

The following prizes will be given:

- First place: 13.000 Ximerin (1).
- Second place: 11.000 Ximerin (1).
- Third place: 9.000 Ximerin (1).
- Fourth place: 7.000 Ximerin (1).
- Fifth place: 5.000 Ximerin (1).

- First special mention: 750.000 gold (2).
- Second special mention: 500.000 gold (2).
- Third special mention: 350.000 gold (2).
- Fourth special mention: 200.000 gold (2).
- Fifth special mention: 100.000 gold (2).

(1) In-game premium currency – (2) In-game gold currency.


6 – Video validity

- The videos must be original pieces from the users that provide them and the content of such ones can consist either of visual resources of the game or art developed by the user.

- The video duration must be from 1 (one) to 4 (four) minute/s.

- Videos must not contain any kind of shooting/filming that is not artificially made by computer or digitalized drawing.

- It is mandatory the appearing of Regnum Online logotype at the beginning, development or end of the video with a minimum duration of 1 (one) to 3 (three) second/s.

- Videos must be uploaded to a video publishing system such as YouTube®

- Every video that contains scenes that threaten morality or dignity of people, animals or nature (except the concept or virtual war), will be automatically rejected and expelled of the contest.

Given the lack of complying of any of the points described above, the affected video will not be taken into account.

7 – Copyrights

Accepting the terms and conditions described in this document, the user accepts to give NGD Studios the copyrights of distribution and reproduction of the files given in property for an undefined period of time, with the objective of spreading them through our communication lines through any kind of media or exhibition, therefore making any of the contestants not being able to claim any economic reward nor damages for the use of the videos and artwork submitted to the contest.

8 – Personal information protection
The information provided by the contestants in the actual promotion is voluntary, having as finality the making of a video created by a user, for future promotional and commercial actions of NGD Studios S.A. When the users give their information they authorize the utilization of such media to allow commercial communications of the company.

Contestants will have a right to access, rectify and modify the given information in the video. To use this right they must emit an e-mail to community@ngdstudios.com.ar before the date stated as the finalization of the reception of those videos.

The contestants, through their participation in this promotion accept all its terms and conditions and the criteria of NGD Studios regarding the resolution of any happening in the actual promotion.

Damn it! Why now? :rale: Tomorrow I'm leaving for a 2 weeks vacation with no computer access. I had some really nice ideas..


EDIT: I have found out one thing about camera movements that could be nice to know: If you right click to rotate the camera, the movements it tightly tied to your mouse movements. This makes, unless you're really steady on hand, the movements somehow fitful and static. But if you instead rightclick inside your chat window the camera movements will react more smoothly to your mouse movements - making them a lot better for video capturing.

Is there a way to trigger this behaviour without having the chat window open?

well just not to spam more....does the video have to include all features in RO or can it just be a really good fort war ^^.

now is there any recomended "free" system or we can use which ever, i use xfire and some times fraps and windows movie maker but they arent so great especialy with audio. and does music really matter? does it count agginst or with us?

and what if the video is made with help from other ppl, my and asreal (hydroxide) where gonna make a RO movie but do we get to split the share or only one account gets the whole thing?
