There exists a kernel module for 3D support and a corresponding Xorg driver for the PS3 so your chances are pretty good.

Check if the driver supports all the necessary OpenGL calls, otherwise that could ruin it (but i doubt it, the PS3 is recent enough that the chip should support all needed ones).

If you have the right mindset such a project is never "for nothing".

Try it out, you have nothing to lose ;)

PS3 is based on Cell CPU. And there's only x86 and x86_64 linux clients for RO. So its not possible :(

It is NOT legal for a commercial company like NGD to develop for the PS3 without proper licensing.

Even on Linux.

But they can still develop for the Cell CPU? If that game then happens to run on a PS3, that might just be a convenient side-effect. Oh. Well, maybe not, but it's worth a try.. ;)

Regardless, I don't think you have access to the hardware acceleration from linux, so it wouldn't run very fast anyway.

That would be fine, just as long as they don't directly avertise it as running on the PS3.
