Problems with the options menu

When I click on the option menu button. The wrench on the far right.

Instead of the option menu appearing so I can adjust the sound volume or the other settings. The menu pops up as if I had hit the escape key, so I can exit the game or change characters.

Hello,

That was a intentional change (The idea was for it to go directly to the Main Menu, in which you have the possibility of choosing of going to Options if you wish).

You can also press "O" button to go directly into the options in-game.
