Hello everyone,

I'm not english native so I will do my best to explain what happens to me (I understand english better than I write).
If what I wrote is incomprehensible, say it, I will try to find someone for translate (french=>english).

In War Zone when the enemies are close (almost visible) I see my ping jump to extreme values (between 5000 and 60000 ms).
The game says sometimes "connection problem" in the "window" which opens with alt+P. If I wait without quit the game, that the battle is over, my ping go down in normal range (50-100 ms) and I can continue to play (most of the time I am dead since 5 minutes without knowing it).
If there are only Alsius players (my realm) I don't have any problem (ping stay between 50-100 ms).

This happens only on linux, I understood that don't come from the "game server" because on windows xp I've never had this problem.

So I search where was the problem and I discover that lag was caused between my computer and my wifi-rooter.
When I make "ping 192.168.2.1" (the rooter) I have normal value (1-2 ms), but when the ennemies are close it's jump to huge value (today record is 12997 ms :confused2: ). If I close the game; the value decreases almost immediately to his normal value.

This problem is recent I'm playing in War Zone since january. I think it come for the first time during the month of August [first time I take a screenshot of it is the 14th august], perhaps with the patch 0.9.34 or 0.9.33...

My configuration is:
-Ubuntu 8.04 x86_64
-CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+
-Graphic cards: Nvidia 6800GT
The rooter is a D-link DI-624
the wifi-card is a conceptronic c54ri

I hope someone can help me,
Cordialement (don't know how say it in english),
Duplo

In my case Regnum is more fluid with ubuntu; it is why I hate to play under windows. I say it to avoid solutions like: "play on windows"

Hi Duplo,

Please explain, what is your Internet connection like? Are you on dial-up or ISDN?

Regards.
