I've started downloading the Linux installer, but I'm wondering how long I should expect this to take :confused2:
After just over 30 minutes, the download is 0.31% complete. The download speed is typically 800-900 B/s - presumably because I'm downloading from 1 connected peer.
By my calculations, this download is going to take nearly a week !!! Or am I doing something hideously wrong???

I can seed it when I come home, but NGD should really add a seed...

1k per sec sounds a bit wrong, that single peer should be giving out around 2 megs (byte) per second; maybe your isp is throttling torrent traffic?

I don't think it's my ISP - I've downloaded other torrents in decent time.
After nearly a day, I'm stuck at 18% with no connections, so I guess I'll just have to leave it and try again later.
Oh for an FTP download :rolleyes2:

Hmm you're right I'm getting the same shitty speed, it must be a problem upstream. But why exactly can't you use the "Direct download" option instead of torrent?

That's what I ended up doing - once I'd found it.
The first link I received took me to the torrent download without giving me the direct download option.
