Hey NGD,
Always when Im on a hunting trip my way leads me to Cementery because the music is fucking awesome there:metal:
And now I wanted to ask if there is any chance to get it as a MP3 or WMA etc. out of my Regnum folder or if you can give it to me? Would be awesome!

I too would like to have the regnum music available as files (I assume they are oggs in the resource files), would be nice if you could give them as they are, ie no subsequent compression for conversion thereby increasing the lossy factor, or alternatively if you can release a high quality version (flac or ogg with at least quality 5) of the source matieral. I'm especially interested in the music in the alsius yeti cave, being Ignis I rarely have an opportunity to hear it.

It would be awesome!

I suggested this to someone ealier but im not sure what NGD's view would be on it.
You could record the music if your soundcard has the what you hear option

If they are ogg file format it should be rather simple ripping them yourself, just grep the regnum source files for the pattern OggS (reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogg#Page_structure) and dump everything until the next OggS.
Should be playable in your favourite ogg-supporting player.
If the files are mp3 formatted (unlikely since i doubt ngd wants to pay royalties for the licensing) it is possible as well, though more complicated since the specs are not freely available. The theory applies as well anyway, but you don't have such a convenient way of grepping for a defined string. You have to build one yourself. Some information on how to do it is on the net.

It's not quite as simple as that, but isn't too difficult. Unfortunately I'm fairly sure reverse-engineering the software is against NGD's T&C's.

You can extract the music and many more with Extractor 2.5 (http://www.volny.cz/nova-software/). It's freeware and it works with wine too.
