...that I could watch and which would fill me with hope?
I mean, a film where a person gets back to someone even if that person ruined their life? About forgiveness, anything interesting you recall?
PS. - something completely different:
Is there a movie about a burglar who wants to rob a place and there's someone inside and in the end they are friends? ;P

The last one I've seen, which is Space Cowboys. Well, it's not really about forgiveness... But I don't want to spoil you. :P
Look it up in IMDB... It's interesting. Maybe not the one you need now, but maybe you like it.

Only one film comes to my mind to both categories, that isn't Asian. I know lots but it's Asian without translations or subtitles.
"Les Miserables" Starring Claire something, Liam Neeson, Uma Thurman and some others.

Ghandi (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083987/) Although it is a very sad story, it is very inspirational...
the Green Mile (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120689/)

I remember seeing Pay it forward (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0223897/) few years ago. I don't know if it will give you hope but you can try it.

I recommend the movie "Crash." I think it won Best Picture academy award a couple years ago. It is all about tolerance, understanding, forgiveness.

I refuse to let you down, Piz.
If it's the situation of:
Robbber robs the Robbee -> Robbee forgives the Robber -> they ended up as friends...
Then I could not think of nothing more than what I said earlier.
But...
In your case, the best one is "Porn"... but only in your case.
Joking aside (?) How about Heartbreakers? It fits the category... only that is comedy.:imstupid:

I don't have any idea if that's what you are looking for, but maybe "Life is beautiful (Roberto Benigni)" could be sth for you.
It is not really about "forgiving" directly, but a wonderful film about having hope in hopeless situations, love that is able to help you through horrible moments of your life etc....
It's a bit frustrating when you watch it, depressing and it will definitely make you sad (when your heart is not made of stone) - but when you think about it it's just wonderful.
And it's definitely time for me to watch it again ;)

Sigh, thanks but really I don't want to be sad, I want to be forgiven and I wanted to watch a movie that would push me into some hope mood, but it seems like no chance for it ;P

Armageddon.
The divorced dude was totally forgiven about his mistakes and he and the wife got back together in the end.
And you can always watch disney movies/animations. They will always put you in a better mood.
:)
But if you want to be forgiven, talk about the problem, fix it and only then watch a movie. You can only start feeling good if the problem is solved.
(just some advice from a friendly goat ;))

Hi Piz,
If you are patient, the movie you're looking for is (seems sad, but gives hope):
The Straight Story (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0166896/)
This, I think you personally would like a lot:
Me and You and Everyone We Know (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0415978/)
If some of this fitted into your needs, I can give you more titles to watch...
PS: Yeah, I like independent cinema...

I don't want funny, Leg, thanks though.
Yes, I want to be forgiven and I am taking steps towards that, but I lost hope and I thought that a good film without main chars dying etc would give me some of it :P
Eternal Sunshine, well, that's too extraordinary.
Kailer, I will try out that "Me and You and Everyone We Know", thank you so much. I think this is the one I can relate the most

That film is nothing but BS. Read the book!
Last word: Piz, if you can't be forgiven by whoever that person is, then let it be. Move on.
Done.

Even though your crisis may have passed here are three films for you anyway.
You've Got Mail
It is a romantic comedy where Meg Ryan has to forgive Tom Hanks after he destroys her life. It is a little bit light weight, but entertaining.
It's a Wonderful Life
Jimmy Stuart beleaves he is a failure until an angel shows him what his world would have been like without him. He learns how to reassess his life, forgive himself, and the value of freindship. It is a classic film, and shown in the US around Christmas time. A great great movie.
The Fisher King
Jeff Bridges inadvertently kills a teacher's wife then finds the widower, Robin Williams, living on the streets. It is about the two men finding redemption.

This one's nice. I hate "romantic comedies"
