Very clear and consistent crashes around forts since the last update unless safe mode is used.
Crash log is always as follows:
libs/libcore_client.so(_ZN10ClientBase14save_backtraceE v+0x79) [0xb7d83699]
libs/libcore_client.so(_ZN10ClientBase12client_crashEi+ 0x1b) [0xb7d83d4b]
[0xb7f85400]
/usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1 [0xb62ad513]
Hardware in question is NVIDIA GeFORCE 5200 using the latest available drivers 173.xx.xx

I had that too... only solution for me was to either active Safe mode or to reduce the graphic settings to a minimum, only leaving particle effects activated.

I also have this crashes near forts only when there was the level 4 Ignis guard, there is other people that has problems with this Ignis guard.
Could you see if is your case?, or also crash in forts dominated by alsius or syrtis
Now i play in safe mode to avoid crashes, i use a geforce fx5200 (drivers 175.16) but in windows xp

Hey guys,
I have had this problem before as well. The issue was that while downloading the new resources my game or computer had crashed, corrupting the resources for that particular object.
The game would then crash from then on every time I saw this object.
The best idea is to delete all your resources, set "Update all resources at once" and let it run overnight sometime. Because all of the resources are downloaded from scratch at game start, you never risk a crash in the game or anything that might corrupt the resources (unless you lose power to your PC).
The corrupted resource is most likely a shader file that becomes disabled in safe mode.

Froste

I think it's that particular haircut which the guard captain uses, quite a few people are reporting crashes on that one, despite having done update-all on a clean install
