Logging in problem, forums are fine

I just registered today and am having problems logging on. I can't log onto the main site and I can't log onto the game. I've typed both username and password correctly with no avail.

Was there supposed to be a validation email? if so I never saw that there was going to be one, and haven't gotten one.

I didn't quite figure out where else to put this inquiry.

There is an activation email.
Check all spam folders carefully.
