Can't connect to server

Every single time I've tried to start this game it says it can't connect to the server. I dunno if it's still down for maintenance but from other posts I've seen it looks like other people have been playing.

The error message says: "Cannot estabilish connection with server."

Mkay. So how can we fix it? Anyone?

I'd been having the same problem since late last night. Out of desperation, I removed all of the regnum files from my home directory (the hidden ones, and the regnum directory I created to store everything in), and re-downloaded the launcher.

It was a kind of a stupid way to do it (I did say desperation...), as I had to sit through all of the downloading-of-resources again. So I don't exactly advise it. Perhaps I might have only needed to delete one or two specific files instead of the whole thing in order to simply be able to connect again? If so, which ones, I wonder?

Edit:

It's happening to me again. According to the main site, the server is online. This time around, the wanton deletion of files is not doing the trick. So, forget I said anything! How do we fix this?

Had several crashes tonight, the last one has resulted in the linux client not launching after the login stage.

the server been crashing lately too i dont know if it has something to be with stability but something goin wrong, maybe ngd needs to restart the server or actualize it because lately its has alot of bugs and alot of issues so they are working on it the best they can, lets give them a break.. they try there best to fix this issues and like you said the game is still in beta...

It's the logon or authentication server that seems to be down (Different than the game server, I would hope or guess) Hopefully it'll be rebooted soon before all the beer disappears.. :beerchug:

It's down again tonight. Is there nightly maintenance going on or is it just crashing? It's always going down when I'm about to fight in the war :(

Still having the Can't connect to server problem - the server seems to have gone down and 2am GMT and there is no notice on the website after 9 hours - not sure now if this is a problem with the clients here or the server ?

my guess would be server because the number of players seems frozen on the official server.

I think I'm just saying it would be nice to have some notification if there are server problems, maybe an RSS feed - even if its in spanish.
