Ok I need to make things right.

In the past few days several of my posts have offended many people. I'm sorry. I can't belive how it went from having great friends to becoming english's community's public enemy.

I've been having crappy months. I'm studing and working, and sleeping 5 hours most of the week. I'm barely playing, and it sems every week I have less time to play. I've also gone trough some personal issues, and it seems I've turned into some kind of angry bitch.

I'm not making excuses, I'm trying to give some background.

I don't how much I can emphasize this, so:

I'm Sorry

I wish we can keep playing along.

.................................................. .................................................. ..

Now this one is special to wudy, please someone quote it as he has me on ignore.

For those who don't know the story. Piz posted about english goverment trying to invade citizens privacy titled "Another reason to hate english goverment" (Or something like that). Someone else asked "What other reasons?" And then I made a comment about the occupied territory in Argentina.

Wudy got completely mad and said this was no place for that. After crossing some words torugh pm he ignored me.

Wudy, Even tough we have different politic ideas I'm willing to put them aside and play nicely. If you don't feel like it, at least please stop telling everyone I hate England and that I'm some kind of hippie activist that needs to get banned.

.................................................. ...............................................

I've explained what my reasons for the posts where in the thread. Still, the way I said them was rude and unsensitive.

Again. I'm sorry. I really want to make thigs right again.

I understand now ............... and I will personally let Wudy know about this, as we are clan mates. I'm sure he will understand, or at least I hope.

Apology accepted !!

Awww

I hate "Great" Britain too, and I hate America even more, hell I am an American, ( aren't I just evil? :naughty: ) but when I came to Europe my eyes were opened on the world, on the secret wars, the grinning faces and handshakes, money, illegal this, copyright that, meh. Thats not the point,

Anyway, politics are evil. I hope teapot will forgive you, war and the game itself is a crazy ride, its filled with ups and downs, ive had lots of run in's too :P

Cheer up, good luck, I wish you the best

Thanks Edge.

I can take back rude comments. But I cannot take back a political position, beacause it would be a lie. I still belive in what I said (To Wudy), but I don't want to let that get in the way.

It was not a war between two countries, it was a war between politicians who sent innocent people to fight for some cold and forsaken islands. Hatred solves nothing.

I was told there live almost no Argentinians at the Falklands and that the most people there speak English and are Scottish immigrants and that the Argentinian claim is the same as the Spanish claim on the island when Argentina was still part of the Falkland Islands. I also heard that the Falkland war was stared by an Argentinian dictator who wanted to increase his popularity.

Btw, I used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falkland_Islands as source for this.

Rigth: like I said, it's called Colonialism

Colonialism: is the extension of a nation's sovereignty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sovereignty) over territory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territory_%28country_subdivision%29) beyond its borders by the establishment of either settler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Settler) or exploitation colonies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony) in which indigenous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_people) populations (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Populations) are directly ruled (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_rule), displaced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_transfers), or exterminated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genocide).

and that the Argentinian claim is the same as the Spanish claim on the island when Argentina was still part of the Falkland Islands.

¿ Argentina part of the Falkland Island ? I really don't understand that...

I also heard that the Falkland war was stared by an Argentinian dictator who wanted to increase his popularity.

Rigth.
The same did Margaret Thacther

Now.

Take a map. A world map.
Take a ruler. ( i mean the measurement instrument )
Use your eyes.
Use your brain.
Use your common sense.

The Falkland Islands were inhabited before the Spanish(Argentinians to be), French and English colonists arrived there.

and that the Argentinian claim is the same as the Spanish claim on the island when Argentina was still part of the Falkland Islands.
Fail XD I meant to say "when Argentina was still part of Spain."

The Falkland Islands are part of the UK, it's not weird they defend it.

Spoken like a true american. :p

England is the country, England, the same as Texas is a state.

Great Britain is purely England, Scotland and Wales.

The UK, or United Kingdom is Northen Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England.

The British Isles is comprised of the UK, plus the Republic of Ireland and all of the surrounding islands, e.g. Isle of Man, Isle of Wight etc. etc.

That holds true for almost everyone living in the Patagonia region (southern part of Argentina). :P

How did my apology to english community (as in english speakers nor british) became an open debate for Malvinas?

Create another thread please.

The Falkland/Malvinas reference was only related to Wudy's anger and not part of the main topic. The main topic is me being an asshole. And again, I'm sorry.

That's the point.

A island 15.000 km away is "part" of the UK.

It's called COLONIALISM.

If you think in the XXI century should exist colonialism, ok, i will not judge you.

I think different.

And let's go back to the main topic: Torg being an asshole...

:metal:

Dear Xephandor.

I got familiy living in Patagonia, and the most people living there are descendant of the original habitants, the "Mapuche" nation.

Of course, the don't have the property of land, but that is another story...

Discussing this potentially explosive topic on a gaming forum is both futile and unwise.

I didn't suspect that when i started playing a game from Argentina that i'd be told to "get out of our lands".

I'm with Ink, bye..

There were no people living at the Falkland Islands before the colonists arrived.
(lets force the Americans to leave the USA? They also came from Europe Or the Spanish colonist our of Argentina? Hey, and while we're doing this we can also move the Anglo-Saxes back from Britain to Germany.)

I sign my karmas. Red or green, because is my position. Unsigned karmas are just cowardy. ( yes, is for you )

One more thing. I'm not a blind nationalist. "patriotism" sucks, flags sucks, army sucks.

Argentina wan involved once in a war called "the triple alliance", when joined Brazil and Uruguay, to destroy Paraguay. ( in the name of the "free comerce").

I will never agree that war. I will never justify it.

I will never accept my country, in my name, go and invade other people lands, to steal his resources, to rules his lifes.

I now a lot of history.
But not only the one that teaches in the school. To understand the deep of colonialism in Latin America, i recommend to read "Eduardo Galeano" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduardo_Galeano), and you will know a little more aboute the things that happenend, and still going on.

The reasons to keep the colonies in Malvinas, is to reach the oil, the fish, and the strategic position to control of the South Pacific. ( 15.000 km away from "home" )

If someone prefers to stay blind, and think is a good behavior for a civilizated world in the XXI century, i repeat: i will not judge anybody ( here ).

But i will keep telling my true.

A discussion is impossible when one doesn't respond to arguments given by the other, but just keeps telling the same thing over and over. Then it's just a monologue. I'll leave this discussion.

Btw, please don't think I'm against Argentina, it's a nice country.(and there's one great company there :)) Only there are certain claims I don't agree with.

PS. I also sign my karma.

OK, as you wish.

I'm not repeating, i'm explaining.

I think perhaps you are just too far from Latin America to understand the situation here, about the original habitants, and how the imperialism conditioned and frustrated any attempt to rise an independant country. Sometimes with invasions, other with corrupts governants elites, or economic pressures.

It's not just about Malvinas, i think the situation of a nation ( any ) having military bases all around the world has no justification. And that is what they are doing there.

Bye.
