Sorry for taking up a table at the inn, but as The White Company has reformed on Horus, and Syrtis HQ has gone away, this is the best place to have a conversation about who we are and what we do. So your indulgence is appreciated.

TWC Mission Statement:

TWC Ranks:

TWC has a task based rank system. Below are outlined the ranks and tasked to attain the next rank. Post pictures of your tasks below or have one or two other clan members witness it.

There are six tasks total. Do them in any order for advancement.

Skirmisher
Scout
Light Guard
Herbred Guard
Knight
Thane
Baron

1. In a group defeat Vesper
2. Recruit a new clan member
3. Collect 3,000 RP
4. Take part in an invasion of another realm
5. Singley or in a group defeat all the pendant holders
6. The White Campaign: Gather a group of 10 allies, then take every fort and castle in Ignis and Alsius. You cannot re-enter syrtis territory until the task is done. You don't need to hold the castles and forts, just take them.

After quite a bit of discussion we have changed the ranks and tasks for the clan.

With fewer members recruited from initiation island, and fewer members interested in performing prescribed tasks...a changes was necessary.

The current regimin I think is more flexible. Once any of these benchmarks is passed or accomplished, the play need only contact me or post the information here to receive promotion.

Dearest TWC,

After so long of taking the time off, I thought of peeking through the forums. To my surprise, TWC Horus is created. Congratulations. I may not have been around for a long time but I claim forever to be a humble member of The White Company.

I may not know much of what has been through the months. I only hope that the thrills and joys that we have had before shall be passed on. We've shared laughter and tears throughout all those days. People have come and gone but friends have stayed in our hearts. Helping to make the clan grow was crucial. To me, helping the clan members themselves is more. It is what made us who we were and perhaps who the others are right now.

I was blessed to be called by the clan leader. To become one of the clan. I enjoyed most of my game play by simply being with the people whom I relate to, have fun with, share stories with, venture out, scold at, and even say good-bye. It was an honor. I hope you all would feel the same way somehow.

The clan is a good way to exercise brotherhood. I implore you to have your faith and trust on the leader. He has shaped and reformed much of our population (in clan) before. That includes me.

In the old ranking system defeating Soras would earn you a promotion. On the first page of this post you can see our new ranking system. That being said, I really liked attacking that old scaly dude on Lam Isle. So, consider yourself promoted.

The Linux client doesn't miss any functionalities that the Windows client has. From what I've heard the 64 bit Linux client is actually the best version there is.

Bad news today.

Platyna is no longer in the TWC.

People have mixed feeling about this. I certainly understand. Personally, I give her my best wishes. I find her to be a very complicated and interesting person. She could be a difficult person to get a long with at times, but she could also be a fun and engaging mate.

Additionally, she is someone that gets a lot of abuse toward her. I request all TWC members to refrain from entering into flaming conversations with Platy on realm chat. Please remember, we have a code that asks us to respect all our realm mates.

This is an unusual situation for the TWC. We are a clan that tries to be inclusive, and strives to be friendly. This episode has been difficult for a number of us.

Moving forward I wish the best for Platy.

Yup thats WoW....... my eldest bought me the game for Yule and have been playing ever since. Power leveled my first char to 55 (along with my partner in all crimes Ty) and then rolled this delicate little flower.

She's little, cute and has 24k hp and is a cold blodded killer. Death Knights ftw :D

First, we killed Soras
Then we moved on to Punzaz
Next in line was avalon
and finally, Rizofag.

P.S. Fergal helped with Rizofag as well if that means anything.

It started at about 4:00 ish today, and we succesfully took the red gem, and at least held both the alsius gems and the yellow gem. I only made it to in between both the gates, but I was in the invasion :P I got some screenies

For those not there, ignis successfully invaded last night. I wanted to post a few thoughts.

Being outnumbered every night sucks. Last night was well planned by ignis. They came with numbers and high levels. From the time I died when they first rushed the actual gate and rode a horse back to the gate, they had broken through both doors. They split up grabed both gems and were out in record time. I have never seen an ignis invasion happen so fast before. In addition there were no lurking RP whores harassing our inner realm when they left. Though Syrtis aid, iggys could not take the Alsius gems.

Though defenders were few, The White Company was the clan with the largest number of members present: me, Ding, Ryu, Syrtis Hunter, Bayn, and I think one or two more were on. I used the clan chat as the place to drop f-bombs and vent. We need to use it to coordinate our playing more in that situation. Part of that last night may be me spamming, but lets keep an eye in clan chat next time and I will control myself. True only one of us was 50 and another close to it, but if we work more as a unit we are more then the sum of our parts. When there is confusion about where to go or what to do, look at clan chat and follow your clan mates...at least then you will have four or five others at your back.

As the largest clan present we need to help set a tone. There were lots of people crying and panicing on realm chat last night. If you see people speaking negatively, saying we are going to loose, that is your motivation to try harder....to not give up.

Last night was hard. It was very hard. I have been at the gate when we turned Ignis away. When we were the few, "that happy few." What we went through last night only motivate me to get better and want to give back with a double dose.

So to summerize:
team work
stay positive
and keep trying, keep fighting,

Or in the words of the imortal words of Kahn who stole them from Moby Dick:
" From hell's heart, I stab at thee. For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee."

And if I have a chance to invade them, I'm at the front of the line.

I know I'm not in your clan but I thought I'd share a word. Usually all of the INQ Night Crew are there for the Iggy attacks but RL and an 11:30pm EST bedtime caused us to log. We knew there was a zerg out there somewhere but they wouldn't come play at Samal so we gave into the pillow. We are all too well acquainted with getting steamrolled at the gate and I for one am sorry I wasn't there to at least slow them down a bit and lend some support.

I'll be right beside you when the invasion call comes, believe you me!

We all can't be there every single night. When we don't have a lvl 50 it is difficult, but that is the way it is. There are some in the Inq and TWC and other clans that are on just about every day (I thought about naming the hard core night crew members but realized I'd forget someone and that would be bad.)... my hat is off to each and every one of you. And thanks for all the crap you all put up with.

No guilt for not being on last night.

The next time we are on together, we will be shoulder ot shoulder. I believe you!
