White lines on all screens

I have tons of little white lines all down my screen so that I cannot see anything. I have a nVidia Geforce 5200 FX graphics card that seems to work with most higher end games, so I am baffled as to the reason that I can't see anything here. I have attempted to set the game to the lowest possible everything in settings.

What driver version are you using...and what distro??

if your distro offers -envy packages for nvidia I suggest to try them instead of the regular drivers. solved the problem for me.
