Xephandor and i are developing that. It works using plugins, each internal window is a plugin. It's fully implemented by, in spanish by now. I have started the translation but it's hard.

I have made this post to ask the ppl if have any idea about a plugin that RolGPS (the tool) should have. By now there are:

NPC finder
Regnum wiki questions
Trainer
Level generator
Regnum forts status
Regnum map
Diary (<- not in the image).

Ideas please! Anpu said that a irc client will be useful.

if you can add some sort of timer (to have for invasion purposes) and some sort of tagging the map (e.g. that i can put on map where is the altar in em hills etc)

The map will have all information (using a popup menu), by now is empty because i need all the information of the coordinates. But adding your own tags could be interesing, thanks!

It´s an exelent tool and it works very well. I´ve been testing it and it is the real ultimate tool.

I've been using it lately (i was invited for the beta tests) and there are only some minors improvements to make on it.

The addon most used by me was Server Status (i hate Amun being down >.<).
The most useful maybe are the NPC finder and the trainer. (a far as they keep updated).
I used the war status plugin too, but if im not ingame, i dont care too much.

Yes, an english version is needed, but some plugins are already multilanguage.I hope some members of the english community will make some cool plugin soon. [Edit: updated to last version 1.0.3 and is in english too! well, the menu]

And it's multiplatform. Im using it in both Linux and Windows systems.

The mapmarks (for NPCs) are cool, but i would love to have more than one at a time, and maybe a simple "draw line" tool to make my own routes while i quest. And maybe bookmark function. Btw, i want to see the functionality of the new map implemented on Regnum (only zoom? :(). [edit: it's not obvious in the image, but in RolGPS, if you click in the name of any NPC, you get a mark in the map, same for some places i guess]

And one more suggestion: RegnumHelper (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=21382) plugin would be AWESOME! I think it was released under GPL.

Shut up! XD. Well it can be download (not now, i going to delete it), but not to update from the main tool. It have some known bugs, it was just to test some things.

Miraculix im working on make the translation =). The main GUI it's translated, but without the translations of some plugins it have nonsense.

Stop using it! (?) The marks was a probe of concept, not final version. But yes, it support message from plugin to plugin, and is possible to tell from npc to draw an image. We just need time to improve and implement many (many many many) things.

A regnumhelper plugin should be easy, but better if regnumhelper staff do it (i have lot of work by now...) :P. The plugins could be at same time an independent app and a plugin.

The problem isn't that it could be a secret, (it isn't), the problem is that the package have some important bugs, because that i didn't made it public. But the program have some new interesting things :P, just be patient.

The only problem I found with the other trainer apps was that eventually the skills changed, and the skills in the apps became out of date (Just look at Regnum ZG). It would be cool if these updated automatically,

It is possible :D. The plugins can be updated, and the main app too. So, is or isnt this the ultimate tool? xD

But to have the data up to date we need to people to report the bugs or the data that are incorrect.

Uhm... Could you please check you have the latest version? We released a newer one.

I'm currently developing an IPC (Inter process communicator) and an improved database interface library (libedb). Libedb is ready to use, but to a certain extent (I still have to finish the Manager and QueryBuilder subsystems), so the next version of ro-npcs will most certainly use it. I'll begin with the internationalization soon, but I really want to have a working IPC first.



PS:
1) libedb is a library that should make your life easier when working with databases. It uses sqlite zentus as default database, but I plan to make it work with postgre, mysql, sqlite xerial and derby.
2) The IPC is a "chat" for applications and plugins. It's pretty simple, but enough to send some information between two apps.

15 minutes after having downloaded the program and most of the plugins (I have only left the IRC client behind), I think I have explored the main applications of ROLGPS 1.1.2

It's really clean, very "user friendly". An excellent job ! \o/
Till now, and knowing that the plugins need to be translated, all I have found that may need a changing is in the tool bar (up of the window, once the plugins are loaded) : the possibility to change places between one or the other application icons may be useful. It seems they are put in the order of their downloading, without possibility to change this order either in the bar nor in the Download Manager.

Except this minor problem, all is fine and running well. High five for all those who have put time in this tool, congrats ! :thumb_up:


A ptish question : what are the "Used : XXX / Free : XXX / Total : XXX" for (down left of the main window) ?

The Used-Free-Total bar is an indicator that shows how much memory RolGPS uses in the Java Virtual Machine.

I'm going to start the internationalization as soon as I finish with the IPC and libedb (the last one is almost finished).

PS: Yes, I'm going to implement the search-as-you-type feature in the next plugin release.
