huge hole in the ground

hey all

i have a huge hole in the ground and cant get to certain places... for example in the pic attached. same thing happened in the first city right after you start the game, couldnt get to any npcs there neither because all i see is a huge hole...

i've tried restarting the game, restarting my computer, reinstalling the game... nothing helped...

any ideas?

I`m not sure if my answer will be of any help but earlier today i "fell into" a hole in the Vinland forest, the only way that i could get out was to press "Esc" & choose the "Die" option.

The only negative effect to doing so will be a small death penalty that you will incur (Reduced stats & max health) but you will regain your real lvls when you kill a few monsters.

thanks for the answer, doesn't help me though... i can get out of the hole, but i cant reach the things that are "above" the hole.. as there shouldn't be any hole theres several things on it that i cannot reach because i fall down where everyone else can just keep walking.

i wouldn't care too much, but this way i can't reach the bind point you can see on the pic and its a rather important bind point so it bothers me... ;)

That happened to me at the same time i couldn't reach the website. When starting the game with "Update all new resources at once" on it failed to download everything (said 20 b/s, and number of total resources kept getting smaller). Once I could access the website again i tried the same thing, got 200+ Kb/s and after everything got downloaded I got no more holes :P

no idea what you're talking about or where to find the update all new resources at once thing... ;)

u find find the update all new resources at once thing in the Options.

i got that Prob in the beginning.
After i manuel installt the Libopenal. so (Linux) and i change to different "Country -Fonts" it was gone

umm... i dont think you understood my problem... I'm not stuck or anything, its just that theres part of the world missing when I'm walking around and I can't reach certain spots this way (as can be seen in the screenshot)...
so no need to put me back to my spawn, thanks though ;)

Ooops, sorry about that then. The hole in the ground is another issue altogether, it has to do with the loading of resources, please try going away from that zone and then returning to see if the missing region has loaded.

You'll have to walk a little bit more :).

I've got this same problem, i've tried re-logging, i've tried suicide and THEN re-logging, i tried the load all resources option, and then tried load all resources AND safe mode. none of that worked.
I will suggest something to the devs, make all static objects, I.E. the WORLD client side. Only things like mob/spawn locations and character info should be server side, not things like the static objects/land mass. That would prevent things of this nature. If it's a big issue of preventing exploits, simply get a hack guard program to run side-by-side like many mmorpgs/mmo's do.

As far as I know, it is client-side. Remove the data* files from your regnum folder, and start again. That should fix it. Probably corrupted, and that's why that should help

I have the same problem. My holes are in critical spots that prevent me from continuing. I thought that everyone had them, but I just saw another player walk right over the missing area.

I tried Re-installing the whole thing and the holes are still in the same spots.

I did notice that each time I load the game, there are a few things that refuse to load. Maybe there is a connection. I don't know enough about it to know if it is relevent or not.

It always says something is wrong with 287 and 288.
