View Full Version : I have just installed the 64-bit version after getting the 32-bit libraries.

EDIT: Oops, never mind. I fixed it. :)

Is there a way to reduce flickering?

Disabling compiz and enabling Gnome Compositing fixed this for me.. YMMV

You can use "Ubuntu Tweak" to toggle gnome compositing (asumming ubuntu/gnome is what we are talking about)

You can install fusion-icon and use it to switch it on-fly.

EDIT: I installed Fusion-icon and click on it, but I still get flickering. Did I install the wrong version of Fusion-icon?

I didn't have any problem with or without Compiz, Gnome, XFCE or KDE.
Sometimes the game crashes, but I have seen that is usual enough in net games.

I don't understand why is necessary "install" th 32 bit libraries.
Help me for understanding that, please. :)

Because it isnt a true 64bit client and still relys on a number of 32bit libs

Where are the 32 bit libraries?
I saw only the "64 bit" client downloadable.

without knowing your distrobution I will assume it is Debian based (ubuntu etc etc)

the 32bit libs package is: ia32-libs
installed via: apt-get install ia32-libs

they install to /usr/lib32



The 32bit regnum client is on the main download page: http://regnumonlinegame.com/index.php?l=1&sec=6

Sorry, I understood that the librearies were internal to game and it was possible downlload them a part. :(

Yes, my distribution of GNU/Linux with which I play is an Ubuntu (I prefer Intrepid), as it is wrote in my signature. ;)
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200@2.33GHz, 3327MB System memory, GeForce 9800 GTX, Ubuntu 8.10 x86_64.
