View Full Version : What will be the next class to nerf (excluding warlocks)?

OK, it is obvious warclocks are favorite class of authors. What will be the next class to be nerfed? Or, they will nerf all classes except warlocks? I bet they will nerf marksmen again because they are the least favored...

The last update is the best - NGD managed to piss off everybody except warlocks!! CONGRATULATIONS NGD! I guess that was because of the anniversary? Or what?

And yes, I am pissed off, like everybody else (except warlocks)! I started grinding my warlock. Judging from how things are at the moment Regnum will turn into a game of warlocks! :P Maybe the game will change the name into "Warlocks Online" or something...

Warlocks now can be sure that their spells will almost certainly land - What kept them in balance previously was the fact that these spells could be avoided.

Now, with nearly 90% success chance to land life drains, mana drains, all sorts of CC spells on single targets AND still be the top area class (Terror, MoD), I think they just have too much in their hands.

Now since our evasion has been washed away...
Now that people can BACK CAST....
Now that the base movement is 20% faster....

Things are so different...

Spells that take 3 seconds to cast for all players (except mages) can easily be avoided now just by running..... (spell casting times must be altered)

The next class to be nerfed?
(Warriors - again)
Just my guess....

Locks should be at the end of the nerf-bat next, but I'm going to have to agree with DM for once and say that warriors are going to get bashed again. I just have a bad feeling....

And how the hell the only spell in staff mastery tree, which doesnt need any changes - mana communion, were changed so bad :/ . All the rest spells in this tree need changes, thats true!

I am not pissed off by the changes and I have a marks, knight and barbarian, one of which I had to change the build entirely and am playing it like a fool presently.

You gotta roll with the punches. Instead of just complaining all the time do something constructive such as post suggestions as to how you think the game could be improved.

NGD is trying to make the best game they can... they don't hate this class or that one, this realm or that one. Look at the big picture here people and stop getting your panties in a bunch because you can't use ripost every other hit. It is not all about you! This is an RvR game and you are not the center of the universe despite your mommies telling you that you are special, unique snowflakes. I'm really sorry I gotta be the one that tells you this but it had to be done.

Wipe those tears, use reset powers if need be, and get over it.

Im getting tired off ppl say EVERYONE is pissed off. Im not pissed off and i
have 1 char off each class and have tested all off them after update. And
sure some adjustments needed to be done to my chars. And sure warlocks
are powerfull but they can be beaten. I have beaten lvl50 warlocks whit my
lvl48 hunter, it is possible but hard, you just need to look over all the skills
available and think "What skill will help me kill the enemy i want?"

And the biggest nerf imo actually hit the mages whit the new super crappy
Mana communion.... lvl5 gives +15. And hunters tracking is a bitt tricky now
whit only 1 skill to track enemies whit, but ngd replied and said they are
looking in to it. The knights block a bit less but still good and the new auras
is really good if the knight know how to use them and ppl listen to the knight.

Have you all forgotten our low defense and HP rates? And the fact that even though we have lots of CC spells, there's still the chance of resistance?

Sure warlocks will be harder to beat from now on, with no spell cancelation, but so far ppl were abusing of "dancing" around the warlock. We had methods to deal with that (mind push, ivy, slow, etc) but they could be resisted (sotw) or simply ignored (UM, DI).

And dont forget MoD got nerfed, so dont come out saying warlock is the favourite class.

Take our powerful areas and auras, and we'll simply be weaker versions of the marksmen class. What makes us unique is our CC and "self-sustainty (?)".... besides that whatelse can we do? Take out sigle targets?

But yes, nerfing one of the most balanced skills in SM discipline sucked, while still not nerfing the Magnifications. I can only disagree on this aspect. A lot of complaints about this have been made... so I dont understand why this problem wasnt solved yet.

I don't see the difference between canceling spells by running to someone's back/ 'dancing' around someone and walking out of his range, something warlocks do with warrior-spells now. Both ways of canceling spells should be possible in my opinion.

Don't forget about cremation, that along with nerfed MC makes fort battles crippled (since attacking realm has alot of disadvantage anyway).

lay off the pipe mira, pre and post update nothing has changed for warlocks except you can't interrupt my spell when moving behind me. i still get the same resists/evades/blocks for my spells as always

guess you weren't playing when warlocks were nerfed beyond any point of reason. this is just a nice payback for all those moments.

If anything now that people have less mana to throw around fort fights are lasting longer. They are not "crippled"

I guess you mean when NGD halved the 'splash' damage of fireball or maybe the change to SK only dealing damage if the lock was injured?
Apart from that and some fine tunning on debuffs like 'slow' i cant think of any real nerfs to warlocks.

I think this change was justified with their slow speed and general weakness to multiple attacks.
Basically any classes can attempt to kill a warlock, and run away if it fails.

Now I think we just have to realize that warlock are meant to be powerful and not an opponent to be taken lightly.

Im finding this post highly amusing for several reasons
which I wont go into at this time.

In the years I have been playing RO I have heard whines
about this class been overpowered, ngd loving that class.

Well its about time locks were higher up the food chain, and

yes, excellet solution!! spend 2047097 hours leveling 6 chars, so youll be prepared for the next nerf, and be able to play the next god class, thats the way to go! so every1 stop complaining and get to levelin

Oh please! Warlock are still easy to kill if you use the proper skills (especially for archers). And in War, marksman can just take them off the map.

i think that locks dont need a nerf because i spend half the time trying to land the perfect sultar and i spend the other half trying to survive a harry of arrows, which can easily ruin my spree :p

so basically in return for having paper armor, i get powerful spells
its a high risk, high gain class i think

i wish cremate worked on allies too, id love sending those useless sm mages who never heal, always die, and always make me waste my mana and heals on them in the hopes they will serve our team by healing and rezzing others.

id send em back to the altar on death. maybe a few trips back to save will make them realize why people like being rezzed.

First of all the game ment to be RvR(Teamwork vs Teamwork), so NGD tries to do the classes better at teamwork, not at going alone and pwning everyone you see.
And NGD you should start upgrading the warriors first, because they're useless even in the teamwork.
The game will not change his, only the guys who know too much will get a permanent ban.
And the warlock is as easy killable as a barb.

Acctualy it encourages Conjus to interact with the team more instead of sitting in one place spamming Gh/Mc :P

And warriors were clearly the next class to be nerfed, even by accident to some extent :p

ive not been hit with mana communicaiton since the update, and nobody even uses the mana transfer thing...who can? u use it at lvl 5, use it twice or 3 times the conjurers out of mana himself...

who can be bothered selecting each ally with hand and passing them mana?

Many conjus In syrtis have synergy bond on 2/3 they have also upped borrow/mana pool or sacrifice to have more mana in their setup,

To be fair I like that there is less mana about, normal hits are worth investing in more and people cant throw out their uber spell over and over because they would run out of mana to quickly.

Have you ever played a RPG like erm, FF for example, most chars have some super mega attack that costs half their MP, with mana com keeping everyons mana topped up it was the equivilent of being able to shell out your uber move every "turn"
