I have read all the tuts i could find, but still cant get card to work.
I am running Ubuntu 8.10, on a P3 board, 1.4g cpu, 756 RAM.
Video card is Nvidia Geforce 3 Ti-200 64mb card.
Nvidia website doesnt seem to offer support for this card anymore, not even archived.
I was using this computer to play Regnum when I first started, and it was running under WinXp, so I know its good.
I go to the hardware drivers section, and i got the propritary driver for nvidia (96 i think), the only one on the list, and it was also the "recommended" driver.
I got Regnum to get to the login screen, and to the loading screen, but the image is much larger than the monitor can display. It appears to be about 40% larger than the monitor screen or so. I went to adjust display settings, and it was already set to the maximum, which was only 640x420, i think.
Be warned, I know nothing at all about compiling anything, command line or none of that, Im still a linux knube. The learning curve is much steeper than for windows. And I DONT want to go back to MS if I can help it.
