Anyone else having problems where they'll have cast something and then suddenly can't cast or attack?

It's cost me my life more than a few times now (on mobs and other players).

Thats stunning fist <.< (if you refer to our fights)

normally warriors should not have any delays after quick turns. I had no issues with cannot attack yet.

Im havin probs wth powers that "cast", but dont actually cast, they are not listed in log, no one is dmged by them , but it goes into CD anyway. No resist, no evade, nothing. Just CD for a spell that never even cast.

My experience was with casting Sanctuary: I cast it, got sultared, knockdown, got up, Sact still on.
Then I got killed with Sanctuary on.

I think I have this problem too, atleast I found myself unable to attack several times even though I was facing and standing in range of my opponent.

Usually, I would think this is position problems ...
But since NGD increased the position updates frequency in 1.07 everyone moves around very smooth for me now, and it seem as if they are standing on their correct positions if you see what I mean.

It's just that I cannot hit them - and no out of range/not facing messages btw.
I am still using keyboard turning, so quick rotation is not the problem.

With you Enio, I just bitch about how stunning fist works waay too often, yeah?

I know about stunning fist, and this is not it. This will happen even when I have taken NO hits in the last 30 seconds (and I recognise the sound of stunning fist too).

@BB: The cooldown with no effect problem was due to players being out of range when they should receive the hit. Annoying, and exacerbated by the movement speed increase, but should have been abated a bit with the last patch. But I'm not incurring cooldowns either.

No quick turns (I really can't get the hang of using the mouse in a 3rd person perspective anyway), Once or twice happened just after casting, eg. feint on an enemy. I sure feel like a fool standing over my enemy doing nothing and I bet I look it too. In fact now that I think about it it's always after a spell cast - maybe related to the changes to cast time + animation changes?

probably you got sultared still when casting, and that canceled the cast... but visual bug let the 'drawing' of it on you... can be possible?

no issues with cannot cast too but Ara.... I love your posts... when I read your message: 'random number generator has no respect for me' I rotfl'ed

This will happen if you cast a spell on somebody and they move out of range before the casting is finished.

well for me the spells cast earlier than their supposed too, for ex when i cast expansive wave, the spell casts when the bar is half full, doesnt wait on till the whole casting time is over

Same with Sultar, its still casting but the opponent/s are already knocked down.

Other than spells like that I've just been having a lot of deselection going on in the middle of a fight.

I noticed this too, but figured out that I was using left-click to lock the camera view out of habit. Since this no longer works, the left-click was just de-selecting my current target.

I have also, very very annoying, seems to be more frequent after i cast a spell that i lose the target 'lock' (not every time certainly, but it is frequent enough to really be a pain).

Ive also had trouble 'grabbing' a target. If you move the mouse while trying to select, it wants to move either the camera or the character (depending on your config).

As for not being able to cast, yeah i get that to, i try number pad, numbers on the main keyboard, and manual click....i see the hot bar spell highlight, just no effect come from my char. Happens in war, when i am alone walking somewhere, when i am at my save and just ressed. Sometimes must wait 30 seconds before i may cast a spell, even when there is no mob or enemy player anywhere near me to effect casting.

+1, same problem

I'll click on a target and it'll immediately "un-target" and I have to repeat 2-4 times for it to "stick"

Also, mostly when casting feint or shield bash, I'll have to hammer the spell for it to "take" and trigger. Pre-1.07 you could activate a spell and, I think, within 10 seconds if you got within range it'd auto-trigger. Now it won't 'queue' up next-spell, only seems like those will activate instantly if you're in range or they null out.

Usually, now if I activate a close-range melee skill and am not close enough, instead of it activating when I get within range, my char just does normals and I have to keep hammering the spell until it triggers.

...most annoying.

My biggest issue has been certain parts of battles not showing up in combat log. Mainly resists/evades (on my part OR the target) and certain spells that hit, usually non-damaging ones. (DS, darkness, confuse, etc.)

This isn't a constant thing, but when it starts it goes on a streak for a few minutes. Weird... :confused:
