I know its a free to play game but its obvious ngd need funding to keep growing. I was just thinking, most companys advertise, have sponsors and sell merchandise.
It was the merchandise bit i was thinking about, I for one would definitely buy a t-shirt with a nicely embroidered ignis logo on it, also a coffee cup with tenax on etc.....i'm sure theres syrtis and alsius out there that would love a cool bumper sticker or something too. :wiggle14: anyway just a thought.

I dont think I personally would buy and Ro related shirts, mugs etc... (remember these cost to make as well) however an add banner on the main page from some other game is sure to bring in some cash, (just keep it off the forum eh :sifflote:)

Im sure if you poked the company behind Adventure Quest, Dragon Fable, Mech Quest and Av worlds (forget the name) they would be interested, they have adds all over the place after all.

I may be tempted by a full-on Syrtis-mobile though

I like this idea. I probably wouldnt get the merchandise (because i dont have any money right now). but if i could i definitely would. bumperstickers, t-shirts, coffee mugs, all that kinda stuff would bring in a bit of revenue i think.

I had an idea of virtual advertising the way other social games [Real Life/Sims etc] does. I think it would be funny to see random advertising during events in towns such as a Coke billboard or replace the superbosses with Ronald McDonald for a day.
