I downloaded the new beta and well, what is the big deal aside from being choppy? I know it's beta but where is the whiz bang Vs. the graphics slowdown?

This is with a 9500GT 1GB ram and a AMD X2 240.

I went from 15 fps to 20fps on the old tech client to a nice 30 to 50 fps on the new tech using Shader 4 and high settings.

AMD Athlon64 3200+
2GB RAM
ATI 4650HD 512MB RAM

I'm having the following specifications:

Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz 3MB Cache
4GB RAM DDR2 800MHz
7200RPM 250GB HDD
NVidia GeForce 9650GT
ArchLinux 64Bits

I've got ~80 fps with noone nearby, and 40-50 fps in big wars which is way better than the old engine.
See my attachments for my current settings.

Athens101, did you remember to update all your drivers?

Curious.
My experience with nVidia GeFore 9200M GS has been an insane improvement with the old tech graphics levels and mostly reasonable performance with shader models 3 and 4....

Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz with 1GB RAM....
