Hi all,
i got the following bugs on the new client:
1) Options/Settings wont save properly in game.cfg or almost those got
different changes after the logoff. Ex: For unknown reasons i cant still
have particle FXs and Weather FXs enabled.
2) Terrain Multitexturing is just an utopia, cant still have it enabled.
3) Alpha textures looks like z-buffering problem. Ex: Guard captain hairs,
terrain details, etc...

Take off the .th part in your links so people who don't take them out won't see only thumbnails.

I just updated to ATI Catalyst 9.12 drivers earlier today: New Client in Shader 3.0 or 4.0 looks like this:
http://i49.tinypic.com/mh3as8.jpg
(Shader 4.0)
Shader 2.0 the terrain and everything is perfectly fine (actually seen ABOVE the water where it should be seen, instead of inverted below it). But with 3.0 or 4.0 the terrain appears inverted or mirrored BELOW the water line with the opposite topography as it should be above the water. My character still walks/runs on top of the invisible REAL landscape but still this is quite screwy.
I played Savage 2 and it runs perfectly fine with no graphical anomalies whatsoever so this appears to be a RO compatibility issue with the new ATI 64 bit Catalyst 9.12 drivers.
My system info is as follows:
AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core @ 2.9GHz 64 bit
4GB RAM
Ubuntu 8.04 amd64 (64 bit OS)
ATI Radeon HD 4550 512mb with 9.12 ATI Catalyst Drivers, x86_64 package (updated today)

I have the same terrain problems like Kyro with Catalyst 9.12 under Arch Linux 64bit, Radeon HD 4650. With Catalyst 9.11 i had also terrain problems, but the terrain was not permanent away like it is with catalyst 9.12 now.
I downgraded to catalyst 9.10 and it solved the terrain issue.

I am getting a kind of game conflict with xorg server. Sometimes while playing RO makes xorg works at 100% cpu process, making all system to almost freezy.

I had to go back to 9.8 for it to correct my problem.
FWIW.

Todays update made the game lagging alot, was playable with good fps since yesterday.
Cpu still 100%, getting less of 10 fps when polys still over 200.000.
Kernel: 2.6.31-17-generic (identical problem on v2.6.33-rc3 from ppa)
Drivers: 195.30 (Beta)
GC: nVidia Corporation G96 [GeForce 9500 GT]

Continues to less fps near forts, towns and when i visualize ppl on the screen.
I'll left RO until those bugs still on.
