Tyr will be merged to Horus

Since Swenson has made this public and some Dutch players already have brought this to the Welcome-forum, I hope Niclam doesn't mind me posting this.

Because the server Tyr never really gained numbers since the launch of it, the server was profitable to neither NGD nor UnitedGames, so it was decided to make a server-merge from Tyr to Horus. NGD is at the moment busy making an adequate renaming mechanism for the Dutch players and the merge can be expected in the coming weeks.

Please be nice to the Dutch players and keep in mind that they might not speak English too well.

All realms will get more players so yes more zerglets for Syrtis more hair for Alsius and more ... more for Ignis, hopfully Ignis and Alsius get the bigger boost so that it helps realm balance a bit, Ive already seen many Tyrs players who have started chars in Alsius (some of who were syrtis/ignis players on Tyrs) but if they will stick with them after transfers (deja vu) we will need to wait and see.

Ignis got the most lvl 50's on server tyr. Alsius got the most high lvls. So Ignis will obtain some good lvl 50's but Alsius will get the biggest profit.

No, United Games, the sponsor of Tyr decided to quit with it, they just removed Regnum from their site, Dky saw it and told us about it, like a week ago it seems that the server isn't going to survive :o

Can/Will the Tyrs -> Horus transfer system also be used as the Ra -> Horus transfer system?

The server Tyr will be merged into Horus. I assume that for the Ra->Horus transfers you need to select characters seperatly. So, no.

Since Swenson has made this public and some Dutch players already have brought this to the Welcome-forum, I hope Niclam doesn't mind me posting this.

Because the server Tyr never really gained numbers since the launch of it, the server was profitable to neither NGD nor UnitedGames, so it was decided to make a server-merge from Tyr to Horus. NGD is at the moment busy making an adequate renaming mechanism for the Dutch players and the merge can be expected in the coming weeks.

Please be nice to the Dutch players and keep in mind that they might not speak English too well.

If they want to speak dutch on realm chat then let them Im sure that someone saying 'Goedemorgen' (good morning) wont kill you, realm chat is big enough for many languages and if it really annoys you just put the dutch on /ignore, but dont start crying when you the entire dutch population hates you if your going to act like this just because their primary language isnt the same as yours, and from what Ive seen most of them speak decent English anyway.

True to form DB. Horus is an international server that happens to have a majority of players that understand English. It is not an English exclusive server as you suggest. It is designed with English as the main language. Use of others are not frowned upon. I accept any language spoken on the various chats. Rather than subjecting us to your usual social ineptitude, have some tolerance. Please.

I for one welcome all from Tyr. Enjoy your stay on Horus and I look forward to meeting friend and foe alike in the war zone.

For the Tyr players that understand English: Use DB's Ignis chat monologues for entertainment to pass the time while grinding or for moments in the lull of war, I do. ;) If you are learning proper English then I suggest you don't use his chat as a reference on the language :tsk_tsk:

Dear Tyr users,

As you may know, Tyr was an exclusive server for UnitedGames users. The deal with this publisher has been closed and to keep your fun assured, we will have to move your characters to another server, Horus. This is an English speaking international server but you will find many active Dutch players and a more active war zone. The merging will take place on January 13, 2010 at 13:00 (GMT) and all Tyr accounts will not be accessible during the merge process which will last at least 3 hours.

Here are the details about the merge:

- All characters will be renamed. A "(tyr)" suffix will be added.
- All characters will receive a character name change scroll.
- All clan founders will be granted a one-time amount of 2.000.000 gold coins.
- All accounts will be given a one-time gift of 500 Ximerin.
- Complete characters will be transferred, this includes attributes and inventory.
- Dutch forum will be removed.

Also, UnitedGames’ current community volunteer moderator "Dky Sven" has made a terrific job so far, so he will continue to aid us moderating Horus.

I assume thats what will happen so long as your name isnt in use by a Horus player (in which case you will get a name change scroll so just change you name slightly, odds are person with your name is inactive anyway)

No more than the rest of uf often do, I guess the (tyr) just makes you stand out more, personally I think they blend would be better without this (can the name change scroll remove the (tyr) tag?

Anyway, so far the merge seems a great success, we have had some great wars so far :)

Well there is a 20-something quest in Alsius actually called "The Alsian Winged Wolf" dealing with the Winged Wolf Tavern in Montsognir. In fact I don't ever recall seeing it in an adjectifiable manner in-game any other time besides in this quest.

Usually we just say "Regroup at huppeldepupJust in case "huppeldepup" means nothing, it means something like "so and so".
If you really want to say it in in Dutch you'd say "Hergroeperen bij (location)" but most Dutch players would just use regroup at (location).
If you want everybody to go to a certain location you could also just say Iedereen naar (location) (everybody to (location) )
