What is making Regnum live?

Hi there!

I thought that if there is a topic about negative aspects of RO, why wouldn't there be a topic with good ones?
Regnum is a great game imo. I really like playing it sometimes and it can be very fun. Now let's try pointing out GOOD parts of the game, which might make some of us realize there aren't only negative things.
Let me list some points I find very important:

- Regnum has a great community. People are really fun to play with and you can always have a good time with them.
- I personally find that in RO my Spanish improves a bit, I learn Spanish at school and in RO I can practise what I've learned in school.
- The compass works perfectly fine! Thanks for pointing that out Ramona xD

The community is really good. It's great playing and talking to people in all three realms.
I love the wars and pvp's which are always fun, even when I die.
And once in a while on Horus I get to use some of the spanish I learned.

Ro is one of my favorite games, and I'll prolly be playing it for a while longer.

The Linux client is the main reason I tried this game. :clapclap:
And the above three are reasons why I stick to RO.

I'd like to point out a few other pros that comes to mind:

Characters can reskill at will. There is nothing worst than deleting a char to restart over again because of noob mistake :dumbofme: made in this char's infancy.
Getting to a decent character level does not take a year of grinding.
There is a decent separation between safe play in the Inner Realm and riskier action in the WZ. Players can decide on whichever they like based on their mood and readiness for PVP/RVR action.

What I really like about the game is that it is in permanent change.

I understand you very well. Many of my friends have not only left to Horus but left the game completely. It's really really really sad to see them leave when it was so much more fun to play with them.

On a good note, my Spanish is getting better and this has allowed me to meet new friends on RA :)
But still it's not the same... I miss the ones I played with for 2 years :(


Anyway, let's stay on-topic, this is supposed to be a thread with positive things :)

Memories... I have those too... but I don't want to live in the past....
I want new fun memories and we can't get those by blurring the muddy road of regnum with the positive things.

It's like giving a kid a cactus popcicle with throns and all the kids talks about is the neat taste and never the pain of the needles...:drums:

Good point there! I've played some others and I liked none of them, only Planeshift, but only because it was the first one I had ever played and I had nothing to compare :P

Most of the big mainstream games get kind of bland, as they try to please everyone.

I'm sure NGD would like to make as much money as Blizzard (and retire to some island off Argentina). But I hope they always keep to their own way of doing things -- which is really smart and has a lot of charm.

I enjoy the freedom you have in warzone in Regnum. Not like other games where you have to send a challenge, or where the big wars are just events where you wait till the gms allowes to play in it for a period of time. The community is kick ass. Cant forget the helpful gms, and how they interact with there players. :thumb:

- The people
- The fun that can still be had at times with RvR
- The linux client
- That you can realize the developers are human too and will make mistakes from time to time to time
- The free to play nature of the game

- the forum with its links to funny content

-Definitely the comunity first. If it wasn't for the amazing people here I wouldn't play this game.
-There are still (though not as often as it used to) some epic fights that make me love this game.
-The fact that it's F2P, and when compared to other F2P MMORPG'S, RO is in my opinion the best. I've tried quite a few, and none was worth playing, not after I played RO.
-And last, the fact that RO is still so raw, makes it pretty hardcore.

- Community which is really awesome
- I can try my english (how bad is it anyway xD)
- I can learn some other languages that i have to use due to my career
- Grinding is really cool
- And i can heal like crazy =D
