View Full Version : New Classes: Ideas I've come up with

Now first, this is about the idea of new classes, but this isn't the suggestion. I just want to see how many people would be interested in new classes... I've recently been working on making up some on my own. I've made up 3 subclasses (1 per base class), set with full skill trees and unique traits.

Here are the class titles and the names of their respective skill trees for those who are interested.

Maverick (warrior)
Light weapons; Techniques.
("Light weapons" to be explained in suggestion.)

Spotter (archer)
Crossbows; Logistics.
(I know, marksmen were originally supposed to have crossbows... but this is just an idea remember.)

Adept (mage)
Illusion; Mysticism; Alteration

Man.. I think is a good idea but not possible yet, why? Do you really think all the already existent subclasses are in perfect balance?.. I don't.. like somebody said is kinda backwards actually xD!! playing a warrior is playing in Very Hard especially if you play a knight..

This thread isn't about discussion of the classes, it's just to see what people think of the idea of new classes in general, and whether I should take the time to put what would probably be a few threads in the suggestion section.

I'd like to see more on this; new ideas always generate thoughts and discussions that, in the long run, can't hurt.

As nice as more class's would be we have enough troubles trying to keep the 6 we have reasonably balanced, adding in 3 more, for now at least, would be a massive workload which in the end would most likely result in 100 balance/complaint threads.

I agree. NGD are having a hard time balancing these classes(And they have a shitload of other things to do). Making/balancing another 3 classes is not right. We are asking for too much right now.
Dual Wielding, Ra transfer, balance, graphics etc.etc. and the hackers atm are not helping one bit.

What I would like is that instead of new classes, you would simply don't choose a subclass. Then they would be like a midterm.

more class = more problem so no thanks
NGD must focus on current problems not make new
