To all Musicians in Regnum Online

Hey there ;D Are you a musician? Do you have a band? Do you play solo? Are you willing to cooperate and contribute?

The reason I ask is that I need a music for the Regnum Online animation I'm making.

I have some music ready, of course, but it's all from mp3's and obviously I don't have rights to it. It's no problem as long as I don't earn money on my film (duh) and what I use are just snippets and they will be listed, but really, having a VERY OWN soundtrack at least in some parts would be great.

What I mainly ask for is the AWESOMIFIED version of Regnum Combat music. I know, right? Maybe also some End Titles, although I initially thought Combat music will be also in the ending sequence with credits, but if you want to show off, End Titles is the right place.

I really think of typical music soundtrack for a movie. No vocals, no extreme AWESOME ELECTRIC GUITAR FUCK YEAH, no, not really. If there's a couple of people here who can make something promising, I'd be really glad. Keep in mind those would be short themes, some full of action, some just neutral. There's no time or place to make some awesome song, you can do that for yourself and share here, I just need short soundtracks.

If you want to participate in this, give a sign. I'd be glad to hear some examples or if you guys can work together online, that's awesome too. I really can make something out of a solo instrumental theme, I really know how to make music and there'd be no problem to add something neat in my conditions as well, as long as you keep metre.

Trouble is, I don't think I'm a composer, songs - fine, but I don't know about "game music." ^^

I don't think a re-make of Combat music requires compositing much. I'd be glad to hear just some samples, in the end we can work out something nice I BET.

Some simple chords like playing around with two or three Cadences is enough. Viola, that'd be REALLY amazing to hear. I really encourage you to try out something really classic you can already play and send me a sample :D

I'm also a viola player. Pretty decent at keyboard too, although I play that by ear only. I've played around with Regnum music before... though the problem being I have no experience with recording/uploading things, and have nothing to record with anyways. I'll see if I can get something though.

I play saxophone and currently have access to an alto, tenor and baritone saxophone. If you think this instrument is suited, I could give it a shot. Hopefully I will fail less at recording it than I did with the sample I was supposed to do for Miraculix.

Of course not epic-brutal-legend-like stuff, nor ultra-slomo-matrix-scene theme, but maybe an idea of the scene you are planning to fit that theme in, its tone, ambient, tempo, intensity, etc can give a musician the elements to make the piece fit better on it.

Regnum Combat music. It's really that hard to understand I don't want to write new music all over for this part, just to make another version of it? ^^'
Like you hear the classic combat music in the animation and you're like WTF OH NOES, and suddenly it stops, rewinds, and there's some awesome version of it :P like every band does their own version of same song. Got it?

I don't have sheet music. I'm no compositor. I know you guys aren't compositors yourselves. But I know that if people can play instruments, something can always be created.

I'm downloading the stuff and I'm gonna listen to it this evening \o/

Damn I really can hardly hear stuff and it has some hissing. BUT it sounds good none the less. You actually can play <3 Are you able to put some layers in it? Like for example you'd play all voices in quartet, if you know what I'm saying.
The sixth track has interesting beginning. I'd love to hear more variations of that ;D Most of it is very .. sad and peaceful. Kind of not fitting into Alsius or Ignis. More lively plz xD

I'm waiting for more, dudes! I had almost no expectations (i really thought this would get ignored xD) but now, my hopes are up and flowing!

Piz, I've already tabbed the backing rhythm music for the combat music. It sounds ok, it's probably not right, and in the morning I'll probably think "WTF?!" but to me, at the moment, it sounds good. xD

Now I'm working on the fiddly non backing track bits. Like from 0:10 - 0:21 and 0:21 - 0:34 etc.

I play guitar (electric and acoustic) and drums, but I can't record in any real quality, so I don't know how much use I'd be here...

I can also write, but I've not really got experience with the kind of music that would fit here, I might grab a guitar and try to write something short a little later, but I doubt anything will come from it...
